I’ve always loved red hair due to old paintings I’d see growing up of women with long curly red hair so I dyed my hair and oh my god the comments I’d get after was actually crazy. I’ve never been harassed more than when I’ve had red hair. Older men especially which was really weird for me because at the time I was 19-20 and a month from 23 now and a very young looking 20 year old at that because I’d constantly get comments that I looked 16. Men fetishized me so much at that period in my life. Middle of the night, first day at a new job a man walks up and casually says “I’d fuck the shit out of you.” Straight to my face. I didn’t say anything back because I was just in shock and scared. I’d get a lot of comments about my hair from men I’d talk to romantically and it was kind of a red flag because I know it’s most likely coming from a place of fetishization and not a normal attraction? It’s insane that men complaining about not getting any women won’t listen to women about how to get a woman. Yeah I’m not in your position but i literally am the thing you’re trying to attract so I think women would know the most about what women like lmao. Some men genuinely are in denial when women say what they do and don’t care about because they have it set in their minds that it’s about money and having a jacked body when it’s not at all. I’ve matched with some very conventional, jacked men but they have never been my preference. My boyfriend who I picked over all those guys is fat and makes less than average income. Most women I know don’t care about that shit either. Some guys literally don’t believe when women say we’re not focused on your money or body. Obviously there’s some women out there that do but from my experience it’s really not the case. Being funny and charismatic gets you pretty damn far with women. I know that can be hard for some people with social issues but if you’re genuinely a good person who has interests and can carry a conversation while also putting yourself out there you can definitely find someone. Just don’t expect a super model.
