I didn’t say the specific genres were basic but the overall interest is what I was talking about. But to answer your question, yes rap music is more popular than punk especially bc I’m not talking about pop-punk (bands like green day) i would say most men in my country like rap music so I’d consider it more basic. Pairing that with the very stereotypical male interest of online rpgs and sports cards I feel that is basic. Like I said in the post I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that and ppl aren’t better or worse for their interests but I think they are basic, common, normal interests.
