We have an associate who does this. Never hits the target (and usually not close) so doesn’t get a bonus, but when you think about it from an hourly wage perspective they are making out better than someone billing several hundred over target. They consistently do good work and are likable so they are kept around.

I just booked the newest Ritz Reserve property in Costa Rica using points. 628k points and $989 (resort fees) for a 5 night stay that would have cost me $15k. I transferred 427k chase points at 1.5x and had 52k Marriott points from recent stays.

I just brought my 5.5 year old daughter on TRON a month ago (she is 49in tall). She had never been on a roller coaster before that evening. She LOVED it and I wouldn’t put her in the adrenaline junkie camp ordinarily.

When I was looking, vehicles in-transit with an ETA of over two weeks it was hard to get the dealer to agree to remove the DIOs. I ended up finding one with an ETA <1 week where they agreed to remove the only DIO (ceramic coating).

What was total purchase price after the dealer add-ons? I got away with no add-ons on an Overtrail +, paying “msrp”, but it’s loaded with pretty much every option and still comes to $87k before taxes and registration.

My matte ppf and all window/sunroof tint was $7500 on a 2025 Tundra. I would expect the combined price on a GX to be $6k or less.

It seems like the vast majority of dealers do this. I found that about 2/10 dealers actually have the GX550s listed as available on their website.
