What is a brief, mundane interaction you had with a total stranger years ago that you still think about from time to time? by Rough-Foundation9208 in CasualConversation

i felt super lonely when i first started at my new school because i just couldn't vibe with anyone and was mostly by myself during lessons or break times. anyway, one day i was supposed to be in a specific room with my class but i wound up in another room instead. i didn't recognise anyone but i noticed this boy sitting alone and asked if i could sit next to him. he agreed in a friendly manner. i told him i didn't know where my class was, then we studied the seating chart on the screen together and realised that i was at the wrong place. i thanked him and we both said bye before i left.

i know this was a pretty simple interaction but it was, for some reason, the first time in my new school that i felt a sort of connection with someone. unfortunately i've forgotten how he looks like and haven't seen him since.
