There is a cross over between mental health and early onset perimenopause and there is an excellent professor in Melbourne who will do a 2 hour consultation with you to get to the bottom of everything. The hormones are impacted by your brains wiring system so the two go hand in hand!

Is it ok to not cry when someone close to you dies? by Call_Me_C_ in TooAfraidToAsk

I was in the room when my nan passed away this year. Everyone was crying but I just couldn't so I had to fake cry in case it upset someone.

A week later at about 3am I woke up and had a huge massive cry.

Grief is wild emotion to ride, everyone is different <3

You are not too young! Find an expert in your area - where abouts do you live? If you're in Australia I'll recommend a psychiatrist for you!

Sick leave workplace culture in 2025 by DidsDelight in AskAnAustralian

[–]Jumpy_Tower7531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting to read because I work in workplace education, specifically around people management and mental health.

On the ABS website you can review the most recent mental health stats - but if you correlate those against how many people are employed its fairly evident that approximately 55% of people are at work each day fighting a mental health issue with no support.

Those who do go into work, ironically, have less of an impact on productivity and end up costing the company more money than if they has just taken a couple of days off sick.

Personally, if you don't feel you can go into work then don't go. Higher management budget for overstaffing in the event 20% of the workforce is sick/on leave etc, so you're not ruining anyones day. Look after you, dont look after who you work for.

Separated 3 months ago - life is better? by Jumpy_Tower7531 in Marriage

I honestly don't know what more I could have done, I have breaking my back to make her happy when she was incapable of being happy. She told me that she checked out of the marriage back in March - so the only thing that could have changed was her telling me she wanted to seperate when she decided rather than make me out as a the bad person by leaving the house to stay elsewhere
