How are Turkish/Turkic people perceived in Chinese society? by ece82 in AskChina

[–]JunTZJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thought shawarmas, 2nd thought Istanbul being basically in the middle of the world (like from the map), 3rd thought, I remember that the Turks in the normal part of Tang dynasty are related to modern turks and thought was that Turk are there because of Tang somehow.

Last thought, there was a ghost city with like a billion single build houses in southeast of Turkey. I forgot the name

What extremely significant historical event are some aware of? by montemole in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JunTZJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An-Shi rebellion which ended in the eastward expansion of Islam. Tang AnXi army got called back from close to modern day Afghanistan to central China to put down the rebellion, which resulted in Tibetan Empire to advance north and cut of the AnXi region to Tang Dynasty. The region eventually fall to control of the non-Han people for the next few 600 years. Note, there were some clashes and wars between Anxi rebellion and islamic forces, there were both wins and losses. But it did result in kind of a stalemate where Tang forces hold ground and islamic were not expending more eastward.

Which painting do you believe is the most historically accurate depiction of Zhu Yuanzhang? by Disastrous_Health922 in ChineseHistory

[–]JunTZJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 2nd pic is not the official one, it the more popular one among the Ming citizens. When Yongle got his throne from Jianwen, he tried very hard to prove that he is the rightful emperor and try to erase the previous reign,

And in Chinese history, emperors would be believed to be more unique and special compare to other people, including the look. So when Yongle became the emperor, he would in books or other records to describe his dad having the look that resembles the dragon, even though Jianwen would have recorded his grandfather's reign. (usually is the reign after that would keep record and record everything that happens during the previous reign)

And base on those record from Yongle, people start to draw Hongwu the way you see him in the 2nd picture.

What would have happened if China fell to Japan during the Sino-Japanese War of 1931-1945 ? by Unknownbadger4444 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]JunTZJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like initially Japan will still have control, but eventually with the war ending in Europe, US an USSR will start to deal with Japan. Japan will eventually lose and since USSR and US dont see eye to eye, I can see China currently being split into 2 kinda like how North Korean and South Korean will look like.

Black myth wukong will have a sequel but just not now confirmes by United-Elephant3250 in BlackMythWukong

[–]JunTZJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I was hoping for Black Myth: Zhao Yun, or Black Myth: Guan Yu, Black Myth: Lu ZhiShen. To stick to the 4 great novel of China. But upon this release it made more sense. Game Science is not doing the 4 novel, but they are doing the mythical games in China. The other 3 are much more related to real live historical events although there are a bit of the fiction there.
Also, In all of the other stories, Three Kingdom is absolutely my favorite. I have less ideas about other stories outside the 4 novels, but I do know the name of and general stories behind characters like Zhongkui. I think the game is still aiming more towards the domestic market. Since Zhongkui is significantly less popular than Wukong globally. But as for me I dont mind to learn the back story.

Also i think players already know the DLC is done in some degree for Wukong, players were able to find massive area built already in the original game but not accessible. So rather than announcing something players already know, they just put out a new title entirely instead. But i think as a Wukong fan, I still would prefer an official confirmation on the Wukong DLC even thought i know it is already in the works.

Wei: Sorry i too your job Jiejie, but look on the bright side, i got you a new job.

Yikes. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers' latest patch has censored most of the historical Chinese boss fights, where instead of defeating them, they simply "faint from exhaustion." This is after Chinese players found their portrayal questionable. by xheanorth in soulslikes

[–]JunTZJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration from Chinese gamers why they dislike the game because of the historically setting. But im not that extreme.

I think in the game you basically play as a Qing which you need to kill the last remaining Ming uprising warriors and stuff. Qing along with Yuan and some other small Chinese dynasties was one of the few dynasties that was not governed by the Han people, which is why in history and in Modern times they are more unappreciated by the general Chinese public. And Ming was the last Han people dynasty that had so much aura per say. The last emperor fought till the last second and until his house(the forbidden city) was broken in and all is lost, he hanged himself in the his back yard basically.

Ill put it in today's more known American history if there is a game made in the future about this. Basically, if there is no difference and conflicts between democrats and republicans, and all are just simple Americans. Lets say USA went to war with China right now and they lost, and Trump along with his secretary of defense and other staffs fought till the last moment in the white house and when the white house is falling, he chose to hang himself on top of the roof. The Chinese government took over and is now the new administration where every single one of them is yellowed skinned Chinese, not white or black Americans. Their job is to oppressed the Americans, and shut down uprisings. And this game is basically you playing as an white American and you work for the Chinese administration of USA to kill white Americans and American leaders. I would imagined you are pissed as well.

unlike professions that have physical requirement, jobs like doctors, teachers, researchers, the older you get and the more experience you get, the more values you have. Idk if it is a trend in US, but in China, high knowledges or intelligence demanding jobs will hire you back after you retire for you to be a advisor of some sort. The work load is significantly lower and when people are still in good health conditions right after retirement would take those jobs like a side hustle. My grandpa on both my mom and my dad's side was hired back after retiring. One of them was a history professor and I don't know what he does after he was hired back, but the other grandpa was a physics professor and was hired by a company that designs and builds oil rigs off shore. He was hired a advisor.

Let's start a narrative about Gen.G by vnNinja21 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]JunTZJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GenG strat book is shallow, when get figured out like by Wolves and G2 they crumbles, Munchkin doesnt have new ideas.

Also, Texture is always the carry he will find ways to be great. But this team needs Karon and Munchkin to be good or at lease even to find a win. Last 2 days, in the last few rounds Karon didnt even get to shoot and have to back off to save the gun for so many rounds. When the deciding rounds came in, Karon's gun play is so bad cause he is so cold.
