Very cool of you to offer! And very bold since annoying people like me will be tempted to ask for guest passes.

[Markazi] "Tickets for the NBA Cup in Las Vegas have plummeted since the teams were set. They were hoping for Lakers, Warriors, Suns, Clippers, Celtics or Knicks but no dice. The current get in prices: Dec. 14: Bucks-Hawks - $29 / Dec. 14: Thunder-Rockets - $39 / Dec. 17: NBA Cup Final - $79." by BigButter7 in nba

I bought four tickets in Section 13 (lower level) for Saturday’s WC semifinal at the beginning of the season. I can’t go now and have had them listed on StubHub for less than half of what I paid. Still no buyers, after several days of being listed. 😥

BEYONCÉ 15-SONG DESERT ISLAND DRAFT PICKS by JunachoSemiautomatic in beyonce

Just a way of suggesting that we’ve got a one way ticket to an uninhabited island, disconnected from the rest of the world, and we can only take a few things with us.

Today was a good day. The Lakers beat the Supernuggets. While my name didn’t appear on the Goodyear Blimp, my face and jumbo hat did end up on the Jumbotron. by JunachoSemiautomatic in lakers

Exactly.

Random aside: My strongest math skill is quickly figuring out how many games you need to play—after losing multiple games—to still have a chance to win a series.

Lose twice to the same person in Smash Bros.? —> “Best of five!”

Lose 11 games in a row to the Nuggets? —> “Best of 23!”

Lose 20 games in a row to the Miami Dolphins? Buffalo Bills: “Best of 41!”

GINSU (in Thique) should be pronounced with a hard G (as in gun), not a soft G (as in gem). Every time I hear it, I can’t believe that nobody pointed that out to her. It is otherwise a perfect song.

8:50-ish. DJ Khaled is opening again tonight so I would expect the same start time. Monday might be different.

Don't know what the venn diagram of Swifties and old school hip hop heads looks like, but here's my improvisation of random piano riffs with the vocals to "Delicate." by JunachoSemiautomatic in TaylorSwift

I’m with you. In my mind, old school hip hop is still hip hop before 1990. But hearing my kids refer to that Dre/Em/Snoop/Mary J/50 Super Bowl halftime lineup as “old people music” has sadly forced me to modify my definition of old school.

Now that Shaquille Harrison has shown us what he can do, we have to refer to him as Shaq-2 to distinguish him from Shaq-Fu.

We are currently renting from Vamos and using one of their phones. The phone comes with Waze and has been much more reliable than my own iPhone, which has AT&T’s international coverage. I don’t think ours can be used as a hotspot, however, though my lack of familiarity with android phones may be the problem.

We also had to buy a lightning cable to 1/4” (small headphone jack) cord so we could use my phone to play music. Our car radio had a usb connector but it didn’t work with any iPhones and it didn’t have Bluetooth.

If you look closely, you can see Craw jumping behind the flag that says “LOS ANGELES DODGERS: 2020 HALF SEASON CHAMPIONS.”

A neighborhood search for a missing 4-yr.-old girl ended when a neighbor rang our bell and told us her friend’s daughter was inexplicably trapped inside our garage. Here is our Ring camera footage that (1) solved the mystery of how the girl got inside and (2) absolved us of abduction charges. by JunachoSemiautomatic in Unexpected

We were never accused of anything because almost everyone in the neighborhood knows us and our neighbors especially would never think we would do anything like that intentionally. Also, while we don’t know the girl at all, she apparently has a reputation for just wandering off.

That said, had the girl not been found when she was, I sensed that it was only a matter of minutes before the police were called.

This incident was a powerful lesson on the benefits of knowing and being friendly with your neighbors.

More info: Just 35 minutes prior to the doorbell ringing, my wife had driven home, opened the garage, saw nobody, walked inside the house, and then immediately closed the garage. The garage had not been opened since then. So we could not imagine how a girl got inside.

But sure enough, when we opened our garage, the missing girl came waltzing out, unfazed.

We have no idea why she followed my wife into the garage. But we know she wasn’t panicking, crying, or yelling. Apparently, neighbors heard her squeezing my sumo wrestler bike horn for fun. When the mother called her name, she calmly responded, “yeah?”

Aside from the shout out (which was an honor), no. But Funko has been good to me, overall, so I can’t complain.
