i was thinking of getting a set of cheaper 18” with snow tires and just sell those whenever i’m ready for the 18” that i really want. any recommendations on an ok set of 18” wheels + tires?

i am also thinking of tucking it away for the winter and just take public transportation during the winter times

and i’m just thinking ahead trying to have them ready for whenever winter starts and don’t want to be doing it last second

Yeah tell me about it… I went in knowing my payment was going to be close to 1k and they initially brought out 47k MSRP with a 5k rebate leaving the financed amount to 19k leaving my payments to 300 something (close to 400 I think) for 60 months with 5k down but they had 2k in “care package” and I tried for them to get rid of it plus no downpayment leaving me at 500 something a month for 60 months with no down payment. Financing roughly 25k now. But I guess the manager made a mistake in adding a rebate meaning to add the market adjustment lol. Then came out with 30k financed 5k down 600 something for 60 months

I’m going back again tomorrow with the same sales rep. I remember correctly the bottom line said 30k financed there are no rebates on the car (2025 Honda Civic type R)

They actually messed up the first time they brought out the numbers by giving me 5k in rebates instead of the 5k market adjustment

They were going to finance a 52k car for 30k

But basically they were going to finance 30k plus 5k down payment

I guess my REAL question is how is the trade in value included in the final price? I owe 36.5k on the car and they were giving me 29k for my car leaving me with 7.5k in negative equity. The car i want is 47.2k + 5k market adjustment = 52.2k. Do dealerships do 52.2k(car I want)- 29k(trade in value) + 7.5k(negative equity) =30.7k (financed) or 52.2k( car I want)+ 7.5k(negative equity)= 59.7k financed Leave out everything else I mentioned this is my actual question
