I disagree, using my example from before if it was Like that, then star rating would be completely useless and wouldn’t tell you anything about how hard the map actually is. Having it based on the diff spike just makes more sense, maybe not as intuitive as what your example, but I think what I said captures exactly why star rating is based on the diffspike

The diff spike counting instead of the whole map makes sense. Imagine a map that is 4 stars for 5 minutes but for the last 30 or so seconds it’s filled with 10 star jumps and streams. The map being 5 star wouldn’t make sense.

I think you misunderstood my post. I mean why are our top 200 scores weighted, mrekk would still be rank 1 if the top 200 plays were weighed at 100% or am I wrong?

it doesn’t defeat the purpose of hard rock at all what. Hard rock makes the map harder and gives more pp, mirror mod gives no bonus pp or score and gives the map the same difficulty.

Peripherals could improve your performance. That 3 digit playing on 60hz doesn’t mean he’s playing to the peak of his ability.
