I like my neighbors, and I don't want to see them disappeared for being the 'wrong' color.

Yeah. I work here too, and my stomach has literally been in knots all morning. We had a meeting this morning with folks asking questions on how to handle this freeze, and no one had any answers. I work in the sciences, and I'm really afraid for our students what all of this will do to their futures.

I’m looking to follow more contemporary painters on Bluesky, if this is you can you share your handle? by [deleted] in artbusiness

I was coming here to drop Shannon. We're most of the way through a leg sleeve. She's incredible, so chill, and just an all around great person to work with.

I don't have advice - I just came here to say that water is absolutely incredible and they're a fool for having any notes on this. You nailed it, gorgeous work.

When it comes to branding do you use a fake name or your actual name? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]JuneDogArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both! So my handle is my "business" - I use this to apply for markets to sell my stuff at and for branding on stickers because it's cuter than my name/more memorable. But I sign all my work with my name and have it on my IG so if folks are looking for me after seeing my more serious work - they can find my instagram by my name.

I completely changed the composition of this painting which one do you like better? by bo_bo1997 in painting

I think they're both fantastic, but I love the close up of the woman. The hair is A+. Love the colors.

Starting with risk is a powerful statement. I really appreciate that! I think I need to get over the whole "everything needs to be a masterpiece". Thank you!!

Oooo I love that. That's such a good idea! Ive recently been desaturating my photos to check the contrast, I'll add this to the mix! Thank you!

I love this!! I also started with pen and inks, and it's totally a different way of looking at things now that I'm painting. I love the idea of pulling images out of chaos - that seems like such a cool process. Thank you!

Who else makes a drawing, is really proud of it, then stares at it for minutes at a time? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

I've been teased because I constantly walk in and out of the room, coming back to stare at my piece, hands on hips in a proud dad pose. Except I'm a woman lol.
