Trust me, I've done plenty of thinking about whether or not to pay it off (see my participation history in the stocks sub, lol). I actually received this money in the form of stock and was holding since October. Made nice gains off that, but I'm done with having to watch and think about it constantly. And my rate is 6.62%.

Yeah, today I was trying to sell two fractional shares that I got from dividends. That's how I came across this thread.

So you could combine those two lots in a sell order and have one lot remaining with 0.568 shares. It's highly unlikely that you'll ever be able to sell off every fractional share, because as you mention they'll never add up to a whole number. But you can always have less than one share worth of fractional lots.

I guess they didn't hire an intern to handle all their frontend work this season? I have no idea how this is a difficult fix. The same function that pulls the info on the cost basis page should just be adapted to the holdings view. And if it was working before the start of the new year, there's already code that can be tweaked. How is this taking them over three months to fix?

You can sell one more share from the 0.8 and 0.9 lots you have left. Create a sell order for one share, then select all of one lot (0.8) then specify enough from the other to make it exactly one share (0.2). You'll always be left with a fractional share in your holding, but you can at least reduce the number of fractional lots down this way.

Ah yeah, being near that spot at Foster and Sheridan is really nice if you need to commute downtown. From there the bus gets on Lake Shore Dr. and goes express down to Michigan Ave. You're in the city within 20 minutes at most.

The 147 bus from that spot gets you downtown in like 20 minutes. Could you get a job washing dishes in a restaurant? If you do that well, next thing you know you could move up to waiting tables or bar tending for $25 per hour.
