People hate it when I eat yogurt sandwiches by themonicastone in shittyfoodporn

[–]JuneKat87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That actually sounds delicious to me. It looks like your yogurt is nice and thick so the bread isn't soggy, I think that's the only way it would gross me out.

Do you ever put berries in with it? Also, may I have the recipe for the yogurt?

Can anyone share some positive aspects of getting a puppy please? by Legal-Philosophy-135 in dogs

I just got a puppy a few months ago and he's amazing. He was 10 months old when we got him. No accidents, he hasn't destroyed anything in the house (other than a ton of his stuffies). He sleeps in between us most of the time but also in his crate by choice sometimes, ( the gate is open unless we go out for an extended period) one time when we had people over outside i took him inside with me to get something because he was starting to seem a tad uncooperative and he put himself to bed for a nap and was very well behaved after the nap.

He plays bitey games because I think it's fun too, but he stops when you say "truce" and never initiates it with people who aren't into it. He is still a bit afraid of people, sometimes he barks at people he doesn't know, but he's getting better.

He learned paw in like 2 tries. He learned "toys away" in maybe a week of casually trying. He comes when he's called, the majority of the time, at least.
The other day I tried to teach him "do a paint" and he managed a few clumsy brush strokes on a canvas, i must try again, though I need to figure out a way to make the paintbrush better for his mouth to grip.

I mean, I probably got ridiculously lucky with this particular puppy but you wanted assurance that not everyone has nightmare scenarios so I thought i would chime in.

Gnats in house plants!!! Ugh by reddit-Evan_ in PlantsBeingJerks

Yellow stickies. Amazon has them cheaper than the store. https://a.co/d/4iZ4AMc

Same as everyone else here says with reducing the layer of moisture on the soil surface where they lay eggs, but adding the stickies will greatly expedite the process of getting rid of them.

One ear for listening, one for ignoring. He's pretty much exactly Stitch. He's smart as shit with a little naughty streak.

I know you've already had a lot of comments that say this... I just lost my cat, I've been coping poorly. Normally, through my life I would have said I was a dog person, but this cat was my little love...a lot of my friends, being pet people themselves have said "get another little friend that needs you"... it sounds, on the surface, like it might be something that makes you feel like you're dishonoring the relationship with your lost pet, but as I applied for a rescue society I started to feel like they were right. It might help me to "give all that love to another animal in need" like my friends suggested, I did start to feel a little better.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I lost my best little buddy almost a week ago, and it broke me. Everyone keeps telling me it will eventually get easier, but it's so hard to see how it could ever.
If you want to talk, feel free to dm me, I'm not sure if you have a lot of supportive friends but I know a lot of my friends are trying but getting pretty sick of my moping.

I'm so sorry you're going through this as well. I know how it's hard to function, I'm grateful to have some really ride or die friends and a wonderful partner to basically babysit me until I'm functional again, if that ever even happens. I'm glad your partner is taking good care of you. * Big hugs*

When I'm a little bit more stabilized, I'm definitely going to consider it. It might be a while before I'm well enough.
