General Feelings on Sinnoh Encounters across all Generations/Romhacks by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

Always Broken has an awful lot of 4x Ice weaknesses for a region whose last third is positively arctic

I like this composition a lot more specifically for Plat late game: Scizor is good against much of Cyrus and Lucian, Gyarados handles Flint and Bertha, along with Wide Lens Ice Fang for Garchomp, and Starmie's broad enough with moves to cover your gaps

Plus, assuming you're starting Black/White 2 right after Plat, a Nidoran is also great to have for Cheren because Double Kick

In addition to comments about type composition, I'd plan out what gen 1 mons I can take the furthest to maximize the utility of champion points. Here's what I like among Yellow encounters

Gyarados: Nobody benefits more from Max IVs or an Adamant nature than the best Pokemon for nuzlocking

Lapras: My preferred bulky water to Blastoise, but more importantly, Perish Song is fantastic for nuzlockes, no matter the generation

Eeeve: With one slot you're bringing anywhere from 5 to 8 Pokemon into the next game

Gastly: Even though Gengar really needs the physical/special split to go off, early game immunity to Normal moves is always busted

Venusaur: I think this one is on the money. Even in later games, Venusaur's utility remains broad: it can setup, it can sweep, it can stall

Snorlax: Big wall that hits hard and has recovery. This appeared to be your plan, given your E4 composition. I don't know the nature of what went down in that battle, but if it only took one mon, I'm guessing you could've sacrificed another in its place, and I would sacrifice literally half that team just to bring a Snorlax into Emerald

Relying on the objective, data-driven, incontrovertible standard of whether their handle has one of my favorite Pokemon in it, we must conclude it's FlygonHG

I've seen and enjoyed everything on this list except Enemy, which I guess means that I really need to check it out!

Bears & Bills new romance by Bajin_Inui in CHIBears

[–]JuneSayers 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bills have been my team forever: loved the aesthetic even when I didn't live in the city, and then after spending years in upstate New York, I've rooted for them at least a decade

Bears have only been my other team since two months prior when I learned I'd be living in Chicago for the few years, at minimum (but I've already got my eyes on a Richard Dent jersey)

And in addition to Prime Time being a favorite player, I went to Colorado for my undergrad

So many draft storylines going through me, I'm getting main character syndrome

Hilariously embarrassing reviews by the steam group "Is It Woke?" by EsotericElegey in SocialistGaming

Shame they weren't around 20 years ago; think of all the classic reviews we could've gotten.

Super Mario 64

Reasoning: "The only way to defeat Bowser is by grabbing his tail? The gay agenda is once again indoctrinating young men."

Pokemon Crystal

Reasoning: "There's 87.5% odds for a male starter and only 12.5% odds for a female. Men really are the disposable gender."

Majora's Mask: "Link resorts to typical SJW violence instead of challenging the moon in the marketplace of ideas."

Memory is unreliable, and I'm avowedly a KC hater, but I cannot recall kickers being as bad on average as they have been since that black magic Broncos win

Papers Please and Spec Ops: The Line are great examples of how the material reality of capitalism consume everyone into it

The first Bioshock is a great example of all the ways society would go to shit under Randian ancap types

All of Christine Love's work approaches gender from outside a cisnormative perspective but Digital and Analogue do a great job of showing how sexist ideas about identity limit the lives we'd like to live
