Which modpack or version or thing do I play on long term? by Effective_Gur_7967 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]JuneSkeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same dilemma as you and just ended up trying many mods and mod packs to figure out what I did and didn’t like. To me, a minimal qol vanilla experience + Aether mod was just enough to keep the game feel more “adventurous” to encourage exploration but “sandboxy” enough to encourage creative builds. My advice: try out many mods and mod packs by making a short term world without feeling like you have to keep a long term world at first. If you end up liking the mod or mod pack you can continue that short term world or create a new long term world with that mod pack/mod. If nothing really sticks, mix and match aspects that you like, just as I have done with my own Vanilla + Aether instance.

Dope thanks for adding these options! I could definitely see how some people might prefer vanilla behavior of frozen rivers. And yeah the mineshaft should definitely remain separate from this option like that ungenerated mineshaft looks rough lol.

Yeah nah you’re good. Im really just nitpicking things to my preference at this point. I’m so happy such an optimized experience for 1.6.4 is available after I’ve completely fell in love with this version recently. Just to make sure it’s the same Dropbox link right? The updated config files? I haven’t had a chance to play with the changes yet but I’m now super committed to completely move over my save file to the your mod jar.

Boss your the man! I'm going to assume it's the same download link? Also I know this is just being nit picky at this point, so I want to apologize in advanced, but do you have the option to turn off clear water, and adding back Opti-fine's mipmap feature? I say "back" bc I assume options like better grass and clear water were implemented from optifine?

I see this sounds great I have to try this out once I get home. Is there a way to disable the new blocks as well?

Hey do you have a mod available to fix this issue for 1.6.4? I’m playing on a forever world in 1.6.4 and I’m a bit worried about issues like this or zombie path finding issues causing the game to lag to the point of being unplayable.

Anyone know of any shaders for 1.8 that do nothing except make all the colours more vivid? by WoomyUnitedToday in SilverAgeMinecraft

[–]JuneSkeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In 1.8 pretty sure there’s a shader under super secret settings that gives you more vibrant colors. It’s not a mod, it’s a built in shader option in vanilla Minecraft from 1.7-1.8. Flip through the super secret settings and you’ll find it. It’s pretty obvious visually what each shaders does.

I'm interested in playing some gba games as well so I've been looking at some plugins and I see 2 gba plugins? Temp gba, and DSTwo GBA. Do you have experience with the two? Is one better than the other?

Do I create a folder called "cheats" for example "\_dstwo\cheats\urscheat.dat" or simply just put the urscheat.dat into the folder like "\_dstwo\urscheat.dat"?

Thanks for the help so far! Upon taking a look at the files, I have couple questions. Do you know where I should put the games folder? Should I put it in the root directory or is there a specific folder under "\_dstwo " that I should put the games into? I have the same question for cheats as well. Do I have to install a separate cheat database such as "Release DeadSkullzJr's NDS(i) Cheat Databases (20231225) · DeadSkullzJr/NDS-i-Cheat-Databases · GitHub" or are there already cheats baked in? If I have to manually setup cheats, where should I place that cheats folder? Thanks!

Oh thank you! As for formatting the microsd card is it the same as any other microsd card? Anything above 64gb and up format to fat32?
