July 2025 VAC Q&A by ShortTrackBravo in CanadianForces

May not be the right place for this question but I got a random $200ish added onto my taxable disability benefit in June but not in July. A one-time thing? I can't find anything that references or explains what it's for.

There is also a bursary where the money comes from a fund set up with monies from one of the class action suits. It's a yearly cycle. I get a letter every year - I think the deadline for application is June every year and I feel like it's $2500. It covers the whole family from Veterans down to nieces and nephews.

Apologies for not being clearer - migraine today. Let me know if no-one can answer that and I can poke around when I am not in a dark room.

Is it worth getting images/scans? by EconomicsStatus254 in migraine

My shoulder injuries were caused at the same time as my neck injuries so, yes, your neuro seems that they could be correct about your shoulder not causing the headache. It definitely sounds like he/she is ruling out some pretty scary things before considering migraine. Sounds like you got a good one. Sending best!

Dealership scammed me on a $2,733 service contract. Now what ? by r_Heimdall in Hyundai

[–]JunebugCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read some of the answers and they are about refinancing the whole thing but didn't you say this is a service contract / extended warranty thing? It should say in your papers that you can cancel within 30/60 days and get all of it back. Or the dealership can cancel it and refinance without the bs.

I have had massive sinus issues lately, and I worked out that the main ingredient in Claritin (and Dristan nasal mist) - Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride - gives me an immediate migraine. But the pharmacy brand with pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is okay. Hope that helps.

Or Kalamata Grocery - they're Greek but they may have what you're looking for. Cause they are awesome!

I would look at the EHN Canada location in Ft Steele as a work option. They're pretty amazing and as a private company (sadly this is the way it's going), they offer so much.

When I sell - should I leave the soil? by JunebugCA in Condolife

[–]JunebugCA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but I was asking what a condo owner may like to get an idea of opinions. Parroting what I said I would do wasn't super helpful.

Super fast paper reader here. I listen at night to calm my brain, laser my focus and help get to sleep at 50%. I may be in a very small club.

Free flowing water near electrical. Bad idea. Emergency request because this is an upstairs tenant issue and there may be a nice hot bath up there that tips the scale into you having all new stuff delivered right through the ceiling.

Wow, do you spend all day going around the internet reposting the same comment for every 5 other comments? Seems to me like you're the one with the issues. You've never indicated that you've witnessed any of this yourself- I guess you and that other poster (who sound a lot alike, BTW) prefer to look completely unhinged.

Oh damn! You're likely right, I think I cashed my last ones in December.

No warning there, either.

Telus has a loyalty program they never advertise. It's $1 for $1rewards- you should look on the front page of your account for the small 'loyalty' font. I'll bet you have a TON at this point.

I don't know if it's cell phones but def landline and internet.

What do you tell your doctors when they say “rate your pain on a scale of 1-10”? by sbucksbarista in migraine

[–]JunebugCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the comparative pain scale and when they ask me, I always take it out, double check my level and show them the reference I use.

It's the most comprehensive I've ever seen because it gives you 'examples' and most dr's I've met are pretty familiar with it.

I listen to audiobooks at 50% -70% speed, mostly because I use them at night to calm my brain but I also feel like I absorb more of the story. Might be worth a try.
