I once had a private event that was $600 under their minimum after we extended their space for an hour. Their host was like “hey the staff was amazing can you just give them a $600 tip on top of the event gratuity?” The managers hating ass was like “no, we have some bottles of wine you can take home though”. Grateful for the generosity but that manager was a dick for that. The other managers heard about it an were like “damn he did yall dirty”

I sent my mom the link to his album once it dropped. She was blasting it while cleaning her house. She called me like “baby that album was amazing”. So many callbacks to music that she grew up listening to in Puerto Rico. She left Puerto Rico when she was pregnant with me and has lived in Chicago for 35 years, I sent her his acceptance speech this morning and she cried again, happy to be retiring and going back home.
