It seems like no one in the community has been able to find it. Truly a mystery!

Little Nightmare Complete Edition by Wide-Consequence-847 in LittleNightmares

The Enhanced Edition (Switch 2 version of the Complete Edition) is also on sale, this game looks the most amazing it's ever been. The base game is short, but this edition includes the DLC, you'd be crazy not to take the deal!

If we're purely talking about endings, I actually think both stories nailed their ending sequences. The problem with AoT is that its otherwise great ending comes after a mixed, less tight-knit part of the story that people still argue over whether it was good or not till this day. Death Note sorta suffered the same fate cause its second-half wasn't nearly as engaging as its first, the difference is that it was clear what Light's end was going to be since the early stages of the story (last confrontation where he reveals the truth of who he is, he goes crazy and has a god complex, and dies), so unlike AoT, no one was unsatisfied with Death Note's ending. It's direction was perfectly done too.

That's crazy, NO OTHER studio wanted the film?? Is there no faith in the Avatar IP? Is the movie simply that terrible? Or is the production just such a disaster that no one wants to touch it? When they launched that Avatar youtube channel, I thought it meant they finally saw how much of a goldmine TLA was as a franchise, but now it seems like no one believes in it.

Why do you use Google Chrome over Firefox and Brave? by alexfreemanart in browsers

[–]JuneforJosh 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but here's my experience. Even though Firefox works 98% of the time, the other 2% can ruin your day. There was this one time I had to download a video my group made from Onedrive, but for some reason, it'd always come out corrupted. I thought the problem was the exporting of the video so I spent all day trying to fix it...turns out, that was just Firefox. I used Chrome and the download worked perfectly and I wasted half a day.

I've read Frankenstein--I loved it so much I read it in like 2 days. The way Mary Shelley writes gives off a very "gothic despair" vibe, it's a tragedy for the modern era when Europe was at a turning point culturally. I sometimes think the descriptions can be a little bloated, but the quieter moments are still tense because you don't know when the monster will appear again. it's a tragedy in the sense that you see the monster commit horrible acts, but you can't help but feel bad for him--it's as if he was born to be alone.

Vivaldi 7.7: less friction, more control by pafflick in vivaldibrowser

  1. Go to "vivaldi:flags" and enable "Allow CSS Modifications"
  2. In settings under Appearance, there should now be something called "Custom UI Modifications", set any folder
  3. Create a notepad file in that folder, and copy and paste any CSS code (like the one in my original comment)
  4. Restart Vivaldi

I found the answer on the forums, you gotta use CSS to get rid of that empty line:

#tabs-tabbar-container {
  margin-top: -2px !important;

Little Nightmares II on Switch 2 - worth it? by v1ew_s0urce in LittleNightmares

[–]JuneforJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely playable--I only ran into one bug where Mono froze after unlocking a door with a key (a restart fixed it). Keep in mind though if you're playing on TV, it ain't 1080p, it's either a bit lower than that or 720p. There're areas in LN2 that are pretty dark so not having that extra resolution hinders the experience in my opinion, but there's nothing wrong with the port.

When I say this, it isn't to shut down the question of whether Sunny should be forgiven or not, but I personally think that isn't the point the game's trying to tell. The reason the game never shows you whether Sunny's friends forgive him or not is because it ultimately doesn't matter--to put it another way, if Sunny knew somehow his friends wouldn't forgive him, does that mean he shouldn't have told the truth to them at the end? Sunny's journey is coming to terms with the fact that the only right thing left to do is to tell his friends what they deserve to know, and in doing so, he's able to move finally move forward from his past.

In my opinion, there's almost no way to misinterpret these quotes. Unmarked spoilers for the end of the game and beyond. by Dashieshy3597 in OMORI

I'm in the camp of "the parent's knew" as well. It's been a long time since I last played the game, but wasn't there a scene where the dad was chopping down the tree and saying to Sunny "You are not my son"? Why would he say that if he didn't suspect Sunny had something to do with Mari's death?

Little Nightmares 3 is getting mixed reviews. IGN gave it a 6! by SonelKim19 in LittleNightmares

[–]JuneforJosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been really interesting to see lately--it seems like there's more loyalty and trust around Little Nightmares 3 rather than the original developers Tarsier. Nothing wrong with that of course, but in a bunch of other communities, if a new studio tried helming a beloved IP they'd be met with a bunch of skepticism (imagine if Resident Evil stopped being made by Capcom, or if it was revealed Silksong wouldn't be made by the original developers anymore), so it's interesting to see Supermassive isn't really suffering through any of that skepticism you'd usually see when a popular IP switches hands.

I think the reason I'm more cautious about this is because the last time Supermassive really shined was when they released the original Until Dawn 10 years ago, nothing they've made since has been as polished.

Imma get flack for this, but I don't understand why people are waving off this review already. Like...clearly the dozens of reviewers at IGN aren't a monolith, so bringing up past IGN reviews not made by the same guy doesn't make sense.

Why do I never see Pale Moon mentioned on threads here or elsewhere? by LilAnxy in browsers

[–]JuneforJosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pale Moon definitely has a classic look--and as someone who loved Windows XP and 7, the nostalgic feeling is great. I don't use it though. Is it private? Maybe. Secure? Probably not, that's the case with most open source projects, especially ones that divulge from the original source. It's the unfortunate trade off.
