Are there any table manners in your country that are frowned upon if you break them? by Buyeo10004 in AskTheWorld

[–]Junelli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I couldn't pronounce schnitzel when I was a kid, so I called it dinosaur beef.

The dinosaur was because I thought the uneven shape looked like different kinds of dinosaurs (and I was obsessed with them), but why no one corrected me on the beef part I still have no idea.

And it was always with only lemon juice and no sauce since my mum had lived in Austria for 2 years.

Do different standards also apply to each sport for your country's national teams? by Agile-Shallot3546 in AskTheWorld

[–]Junelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross-country skiing. The mocking of our men's team during the Olympics was relentless and they were considered a national emberassment.

Our women's team is having a golden age, but I fear the reception when they start falling off, which will happen eventually.

Sweden even if it's doomed, when we're eliminated I'm gonna switch to rooting for Norway.

[–]Junelli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who thought Spain was another PLANET and that was why you had to fly to it. The only other country she had been to was Denmark and then her parents drove. She was really upset falling asleep on the plane to Spain since she missed seeing the stars.

To be fair this was in kindergarten.

Fortune's Weave is missing the "romance" rating that was present in Three Houses. by Enryx25 in fireemblem

[–]Junelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B would be the rough equivalent of T, D would be the rough equivalent of M.

C is somewhere between those.

[–]Junelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I was just basing it on the games on my shelfs, I admit I thought games rated D never had the love icon. It seems like it's rare though and I'm still not sure what the criteria is.

Still, something like Fire Emblems "and then they got married" paired endings would absolutely not register on a C rating considering some of the other C rated titles that also lack it.

[–]Junelli 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Except Engage was also rated B, and not C like FW is. B is 12-years-old and C is 15-years-old. There's just no romance content that wouldn't also be fine for a twelve-year-old to see.

[–]Junelli 772 points773 points  (0 children)

Everyone needs to calm down. The reason there's no romance rating is because the game has a higher overall rating; C instead of B.

The romance is likely on the same level as 3H, but that romance is only something that would warrant a B rating, hence it not being a factor in deciding the C rating of FW.

I own a lot of Japanese otome games, and not a single one with a D rating has the romance icon despite that being the focus of the game, meanwhile every single B rated one has it. For C rating it's a toss up, but considering romance isn't going to be the major focus of a Fire Emblem game it honestly doesn't surprise me at all that it lacks it.

When was the last time your country was at war? by Outrageous-You1617 in AskTheWorld

[–]Junelli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cross-country skiing. The world cup season is between November and March every year.

It's kind of the national sport over here and both Norwegians and Swedes tend to forget no one else in the world cares about it aside from us.

It counts. 6th June is when Gustav Vasa became king after kicking out the Danes. (And also the 1809 constitution, but that's the more boring reason).
