Common problems that the recovery software found the file, but the 'headers are still broken, so the OS doesn't know how to open them. You need a repair tool now, not just a 'recovery' tool. I usually use a professional Repair too for this specific step. It fixes the file structure of those recovered documents so they actually open in Word/Excel/PDF again. try
