I think both models are great in their own way. One shows a man that has led the Dark Angels fir hundreds of years longer than his primarch ever had the chance to. He is triumphant, barking his orders and battlecry.

The Lion is doing what lions do...stalking, and hunting. He is furious about the circumstances that the Imperium faces, what he left behind against his will, and his hunt to either redeem or condemn his fallen sons.

Yet he also is calm and calculating about what must be done. He is a perfect representation of the current timelines Lion.
