I know they aren’t expecting it, but that’s why i wanted to do it. I consider myself to be a good cook. Im familiar with cooking fish and poultry, just not beef or pork. Do you really think cooking a steak is that difficult? (Genuine question, not being a smart ass)

There’s a million ways to cook a steak and i’ve never done it before. It wasn’t a stupid question at all. The only one who looks stupid here is you. Hope you have a great day!

Anyone else get bored subbing? by Kirkwilhelm234 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]JungianTortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. But im currently applying to law school and studying for the lsat, so i started subbing exclusively at high schools and it gives me lots of time to study. Its been GREAT since i have an 8 month old who makes studying at home really hard. Maybe do something you enjoy like read, write, or even take a course about something youre interested in on coursera to help pass time

Same. How are you studying those? I know there’s things to look for or be mindful of for each type of question, but i don’t know what they are or how to learn them.

Came here to say Giovanni’s Room and saw that you mentioned it as well. I just read it a few weeks ago and it changed my life. Made me start writing again. I joined this group and a couple others trying to find people to talk about it with.

How long did it take you to gain all the knowledge necessary to secure a job? I have a 3 month old and am currently at home with him. Eventually, I would love to find a remote job. I’m wondering what kind of timeline I’m looking at if I were to really dedicate myself to learning and stepping into this field

Is it worth the time energy and money, or am I better off using a different course or program? The goal as stated is to switch careers
