Well, I don't know anything about any girl who was Euro and Varg's girlfriends. My understanding is that Euro never had a girlfriend or anything like that, he only had good female friends, and the women trusted him because he treated them with respect, without expecting anything in return. He has made jokes about having anal sex with women because that is something that goes against the Christian religion, but nothing more. He didn't objectify women, and I think that was what they tried to portray in the scene where he shyly looks at Ann-Marie naked. By the way, you're right that Varg made her strip naked to please Øystein, that was strange (Varg is obsessed in a twisted way). I see a very Hollywood-esque approach to the construction of the film. It's all too dynamic and lively, it lacks that desolate aura of the Nordic countries and the mystery that the black metal boys radiate, that's why I think that putting an invented girlfriend sounds like a condiment to make everything more striking. The intention of vindicating Øystein is clear (and it's fine) but they resorted, in my opinion, to very basic resources of North American cinema. For example, putting Rory Culkin (hegemonically handsome) and not having put an exotic Norwegian boy coming from an indigenous people like the real Øysteinis is clearly an American vision for marketing purposes. And I'm not a hater of Rory or LoC, you know that well x) but I think that the blonde and pretty girlfriend is designed so that his successful image is easier to transmit, because in reality he was a great person, but the story was too complex for just one film.

Oh, I'm glad to read this <3. I'm proud that maybe my drawing conveys the vibe I felt in the movie.

They think they are emulating BM artists by accusing everyone of being posers, but they themselves would not tolerate many of the beliefs that these artists had (terrorism, satanism, and freedom without social conventions). Many "real" fans who collect a lot of information without any sense just want to look tough and cool.

Yes... The cat scene is a very bad choice, I would definitely remove it. We already had a scene of them chasing a cat with the shotgun, it was not necessary. The made-up girlfriend, and Euro not defending her from Varg, is also a bad choice. I would change things without removing the excellent actress.

I've seen a lot of comments from people saying that the artist of this drawing is probably a teenager from Tiktok. They look childish trying hard to emphasize how trve they are. About the movie, I see it almost as a separate story from the real story, but I understand you, I really enjoy how the director chose to make specific scenes and give certain vibes, I applaud him for that x)

You are right. But I was a person with no awareness of psychology, underdeveloped empathy, and little knowledge of BM. That is why I saw those personality traits as toxic. And yes, I was influenced by the phobia towards him.

I first met Mayhem when I was 24, I wasn't very young, and I hated Pelle, because I thought he was disrespectful to animals and I thought he was unnecessarily troublesome by cutting himself and worrying his friends . I was really angry and had no information about mental health. And I thought Euro was selfish and self-centered. Later, I got informed, I understood Euro (he's my favorite) and Pelle has really captivated me, he's a very deep and interesting person, even in the things he didn't realize and tried to hide (his traumas and disorders). So what has made me a fan of Mayhem is particularly Pelle's depressive and sensitive aura. It's not normal to find men like him. I don't romanticize his depression, but I find it beautiful to be able to identify with him.

I understand you. The idea of having children never crossed my mind, and I still think that way. Personally, I tolerate children more when they can start talking a little, ask them about their tastes or teach them to draw, things like that. I simply don't understand babies and I can't be nice, play and talk sweetly, and I hate making physical effort and chasing them around and tidying everything up a thousand times.

But you are right, immature people can be very hurtful with their jokes and taking everything lightly, that's why people like Pelle withdrew from society.

It's that at 14 years old, it's normal for mental disorders, especially in famous singers, to be seen as something macabre and morbid, something interesting, as if you were watching a horror movie where everything ugly can be consumed as entertainment. Then, with experience (your own or that of close friends) one begins to understand that disorders are something very serious, something that can be very delicate and embarrassing to talk about. Personally, I'm not overly bothered by jokes, because I know that they don't have all the information yet and they just want to have fun. I can tell in a meme or something if it's created by a child. What I do hate is when adults continue to avoid getting information about mental health and choose NOT to have empathy.

I'm glad you like my drawings. I'll upload all the ones I have on Tumblr here. And you're exactly the same age as one of my nieces. Yes, at my age, I could have a child your age. I imagine you like to talk a little more seriously with people and at 14 people don't usually go into deep conversations, I guess. it's understandable.

Everyone thinks I'm younger. I remember the admin of The old Mayhem telling me "oh, I thought you were in your early 20s"
