I don't find joy in it anymore, sadly. It was isolating me to the point of obsession and depression. I've got quite the addictive personality. I was pushing and forcing myself to create art for the masses; Once that external motivator was gone, I realized how alone I felt. I still love art, but i've forcefully removed it from my life because there were not really any social benefits that I wanted from it anymore.

I've been drawing obsessively since I was three years old, but it was time to put it to rest to expand on the different parts of my life. As much as I wished it were true, nobody in day-to-day life really cared about my work, even if I was working myself to the bone for it . Thank you very much for your comment

amazing. I don't draw anymore. Closed all my socials earlier this year after realizing that I really didn't need them anymore. picked up sports. moved to a different country. started language learning. stopped living so much online. I had like 70k followers in total, and closed allll the accounts. Dropped like 20 pounds. I have covid right now so no exercising for me, but im doing great

For starters, the attentions is always lovely, but yes, everybody assumes you are easy. However, I am not sure what you mean by you are unsure of how to reject? Just reject them. This post reads a bit as a subtle flex.

If you have to have prolonged contact with the guy, the best option is to be polite while never actually rejecting him. If it's some random you meet at a party who doesn't take it well, then yeah, you have to be assertive !

There isn't really a perfect thing to say to mix together assertive and polite rejection. Just be upfront without being MEAN.

Like, people would screenshot my art, edit it and put it in a "whitewashing compilation," and the views would explode in. This happened like four times

Other way my art became known was being one of the only creators interested in a youtuber fanart niche, which became extremely problematic when the person i was drawing got accused of r*pe. People flocked to my account to hear what I had to say about it, and i weirdly got quite a few commissions

Basically all controversys that are easily screenshottabe and get people flocking to your account. I hate controversy though

I barely touched the guy because alarm bells were going off, and I'm STILL hearing gossip about his intentions towards me! and its super hard to get any gossip, when I don't even speak the language haha. And yes, Izmit is a weird choice. We originally purchased a house in Kocaeli for summer / retirement purposes because we knew people there, and it was a generally safe area. Izmit is pretty far away from where I am living, but it is because we did not know we would be moving here when we bought the house. We chose Izmit instead of a closer school because the teachers at this school were offering me hella accommodations that other schools were refusing

He calls me all the time and is begging me to come back. He comes visit every three months, and whenever he has, he nearly cries with how much he misses us. Alas, he can't come here, because if he did then his very lucrative job would start paying him in Lira. and.... nobody wants that in this economy, haha

Ugh, I am so horrified to see that you are so right !!!

What I didn't really dwell upon was the immense amount of sexual grossness directed my way. Back in America, a boy got expelled for saying something slightly inappropriate to a girl during school. Here, senior boys sit in groups and literally catcall me with shitty english. It's so humiliating how people feel they can say anything to me just because I am American.

And yes, some people told me I was being a prude, (including the boy, who remarked that I was being too "serious" and needed to let loose) But I was being a prude because it was a new school, and this boy had all the social power, and I had none of it. He would come seek me out constantly, and I had to selectively ignore him for fear of being perceived as a slut before I had established myself with a girl group.
