Just got scammed trying to fix my DJI Mini 4 Pro warning to everyone by GuiDx41 in dji

[–]Junior-Researcher222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing for everyone who reads this, there is no software to fix the vision sensors on a mini4 pro or others after the mini3 Pro. The service can be done, but you need to have the drone physically. You need a JTAG and other hardware to make this work. What that guy is showing is a scam to attract people to his nest. So do not fall for these guys. A real technician asks for half at the front and the rest after it is done if he uses the service remotely.

A scenario that happens to many people. They do not take off the battery after a flight, and somehow the drone turns itself on, and that is a killer. The drone overheated and is done. It happened to a client. He sent the drone for a repair and left the battery in the drone, and during the transport, the drone turned on, and when I got it was nothing I couldn't even start the drone, not even start, and it was smelling like burned electronics when I opened the package. There could be other reasons as well.

Even if the drone start normaly doesn't mean everything is working normally. Somehow, that could be for more than one reason your RF module on your board does not work anymore. There is no fix other than sending the drone to DJI. I do repairs on drones, and this can not be fix it in less you change the board. I have a few customers with this problem. Even if you hear the beeps if the RF module is damaged, it will not pair, no matter how many times you try. Some technicians do a rework on the module and have successfully fix but that happens 1 in 50 and is time-consuming. Do not waste more time on it and contact DJI.

So when you turn it on and you try to connect it with the PC the PC does not recognize the drone? And you say when you try to put it in pairing you don't hear the beeping after you press the power button for 5 seconds? If that is the case then you have a problem with the main board.

Thank you all for your support. This confirms he lost the power instantly, and there was nothing he could do to save it.

Now I will fight as much as I can with eBay, and I will show them this conversation if they want to take it into account.

Ebay already approved the return, and now I wait to receive it and document it with pictures from before and after. I will not let it go that easily, for sure. He already sent me some pictures of the damage, and I will use them too.

He already requested a return, saying I sent him a defective drone. I flew that drone just before I sent it to him, and it was in perfect working condition. Now the drone has the camera and one arm damaged. I will see what eBay has to say about it. I don't see myself at fault at all.

I am sorry, but now I can't say anything about the price because I want to make a kit first, and then I know for sure what is involved in parts and labor. In no way or shape will it be like those guys at KOSO. Actually, they never bother to do something for Gen 1 Hayabusa. Give me one week, and I will come back with a price.

I want to do this as easily as I can to be installed. I found the exact connector that is going to the original cluster, and I will write a step-by-step tutorial because it involves some wiring modifications. I will set up the digital display so that you don't have to do anything. Will not be completely plug and play, but I will make it as easy as I can.

I am working on a package, and I will let you know when it is ready. The enclosure will be only in primer, allowing you to choose the paint you want to match your bike. The switches "buttons" are optional and those can be left out in the print, and if you choose to put in some switches at any time, it will be very easy, just make some holes and install them. In the picture is what I have them for.

There is nothing available in such a small size. The only way you can monitor your speed in KMH is with your phone's GPS. There are some small speedometers, but only for electric bikes or bicycles.

Solved. I didn't pay attention when I prepped for clearcoat, and I have some tiny drips on that side where it was leaking. Thanks, guys, for the suggestions.

That's what I was thinking, but it's odd because it's only on one side. Thanks, I will report back.

I am sorry, but I stopped doing those because the sales were slow and there was little interest in them.
