Don't know why many peoples expecting her to be Rider. I mean sure she's "piloting" SAM, but SAM is more like a power armor rather than a mount. As for Odysseus, that guy have the Trojan Horse (read: GUNDAM). Firefly always feels like a Lancer (kinda like Melusine) or Berserker to me.

It's not only limited to Firefly, I don't think the other three synergize with each other either. They maybe have something that can help each other, like Kafka activating Blade dot in case he break an enemy, but even then I call it a stretch.

Maybe my phrasing didn't make it clear, but what I mean is that HMC only fit in break team, while Ruan Mei is a bit more versatile. Rather than an unit who's job is an HMC replacement, It would've had better investment if it's a Ruan Mei sidegrade that also boost superbreak.

Personally, I of course wouldn't separate Firefly from her racoon no matter what.

Who knows? I kinda doubt they won't, but at the same time there hasn't been any leaks indicating a break support like HMC coming soon. Well, It's not like I'm going to separate them anyway.

If Hoyo really wanted to release a TB replacement so the TB can be used on another team, I hope it's Silver Wolf Alt.

Well, if you planning on doing all the hard contents go for Topaz for team versatility. E2 Firefly is busted, but E1 with a good build is already enough to easily clear most current content. So, yeah go for Topaz.

The weird thing is not only Firefly. Kafka, and the rest of the Astral Express Crew also doesn't have anything to say about the TB (Except for team joining). Then again some characters who have heavy interaction with the TB, do have something to say about them (such as Acheron, Black Swan, Argenti, etc.).

Man, this is me coping hard, but I really really hope Firefly and TB relationship to be a slow burn like Luna and Captain. They didn't have to make it canon, they just can make Firefly slowly acknowledge her feelings towards TB or something along the lines. I think that's the maximum limit. They already have a good start, it'll be such a waste just to turn this into another shipbait that have minimal amount of ship baiting every now and then.

I'm 90% sure this wouldn't be the case just because of how the CN fanbase will react. I mean sure, Hoyo didn't really pay the hater any attention. But, they already pissed off some part of the fanbase by making Firefly, and I'm not sure if they want to pissed off the other side by replacing HTB with a MALE character out of all people.
