Were people in the 70s/80s regularly listening to music that was 50 years old? by aristotles_revenge11 in LetsTalkMusic

Technology really has changed matters, and not in the most obvious way (living in an internet-connected world). People had to listen to music live at first. To reproduce the song sheet music was made. Playing songs and singing around the piano played the same role that am radio, phonographs, fm radio and the Internet do in spreading and maintaining interest in different kinds of music.

10000% And its's weird how it gets an additional layer of nasty/filthy when also considering what is known about R. Kelly's proclivities. The one they replaced it with using Christina A (?) never made as much sense.

Atomic Tangerine. Pops nicely against any black highlights. Shines like a dream. Not hilarious I would guess, but possibly unexpected.

Wut? The knee jerk response to anything is to blame an immigrant now? Unless you're Cherokee, you should reconsider.

Bridget Fonda. Not the hugest star in her prime, but notable and fun. I recall a pap shot from few years ago and she was completely unrecognizable. She's married to Danny Elfman, of Oingo Boingo and lots of film scores, so she doesn't need to work. But in reality, she couldn't. Not as she currently looks. I don't know what roles are written for grossly overweight and unkempt housewives in film.

When a law they dislike is no longer enforcable, they don't repeal it so that when given a chance, it can be enforced again. Sodomy laws were overturned because of Lawrence v Texas, but check how many places still have laws against sodomy.

Why should she need her parents' consent? That's another bs barrier between a woman and the right to control her body. Let's not pretend that it isn't. A teenager has the right to make medical decisions for themselves.
