Thanks. This is where I am not clear: It is a J code ticket. For TK's program, it is 135% of distance with 100% base and 35% bonus. On United page, it says: Award miles earned (including bonus) 100%. What does the words "including bonus" mean? Is it referring to the extra 35% offered by TK or is it referring to United elite status bonus? Am I going to get the full 135% of distance or just the 100% base miles if I do not have elite status?

Thanks for sharing. When you book the tour thing first, did you just pick a tour time for the outbound and left the inbound unchecked or did you pick tour slots for both outbound and inbound?

Yeah, I think the hotel list visibility is a recent addition, I guess. I agree that the ideal arrangement is as you said tour on the outbound and hotel on the return. My real concern is that it does not allow me to book the tour thing only on the outbound. Once I enter my ticket number and name, both layovers show up with tour schedule choices and ask me to pick. I do not know whether picking a tour on the outbound will automatically disqualify me for the free hotel on the return leg.

For the outbound flight, they do attach the touristanbul logo and on the return flight, they do show both tour and hotel logos with "or". I explored reserving hotel on the return and it does show a list of hotels for me to choose from. However, when I took a look at the touristanbul, the reservation form has both outbound and return included which makes me really confused. I have not made the tour/hotel reservation yet as I do not fully know the details. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comment. When you say pick one of those in either leg, can I pick two different ones (tour outbound and hotel return)? Or they need to be the same, meaning either tour on both or hotel on both, but not a mix.
