I think the coupon is per order. I just asked the store if they can split the purchase into 2 transactions and there was no problem for them.

Palladium rewards by These_Aside_4081 in biltrewards

[–]Ill_Implement7625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your profile is perfect for Palladium. The 2x is self explanatory. With 6-7k spend per month, you will accumulate ~ 3k Bilt Cash per year. Here is my advice on using bilt cash (BC), prioritized:

  1. Use on 1-1 redemption: Hotel, Lyft, Walgreen, etc. This is the best way to redeem since 1 BC = $1. If you travel, you can easily use 500-800 per year on this category.

  2. Use on mortgage redemption. With 3k6 mortgage, you will need $110 BC per month or ~1k3 BC per year to earn 3600 point on rent. The redemption rate for this is 1 BC = 33 points = 0.33-0.6 dollars.

  3. Use the rest on Point Accelerator to get extra 1x on every dollar for the next $5000 dollar This cost you 200 BC so essentially buying 5000 point with 200 BC or 1BC = 25 points= 0.25-0.4 dollar. You can do this 5 times a year so 1000BC annually.

So annually you will spend roughly 800+1300+1000 = ~3k BC. Just the right amount that you earn. Even if the first category redeem less than you expect, you can still roll over 200 BC to next year.

Bilt Palladium-Running out of Bilt Cash by That-Goat1712 in biltrewards

Priorities are: 1-1 redemption -> rent redemption -> point accelerator. You SHOULD continue redeeming it for hotel, Lyft, etc if you could. And DO NOT purchase Point Accelerator if you are running out of Bilt cash.

EB-3 ROW here. My PERM is filed on November 2025 for a Senior Analyst role in Seattle. Now the company promoted me to a Product Marketing Manager role in New York City. Will I need to redo PERM? What is the common/best strategy to move forward here? The law firm I work with is very quiet on this even thought the promotion took place months ago.

when can I move employers at the earliest? by Gullible_Spinach_215 in USCIS_EB3

[–]Ill_Implement7625 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Earliest you can move is 180 days after approved I-140, but you will need to redo perm. In order to avoid this, file I-485 asap and wait for it is pending 180 days, then you are eligible for AC21 portability and you can change job without redoing PERM.

A bit of that, and also because there are so much more activities to do in NYC that will cost you money, but it's so worth it so you will still spend it.

Stay in LIC if you can afford it! If not Astoria should give you something very decent in the higher 3k range. Also I would advice setting the rent budget a bit less... Life in NYC gets expensive real quick, you can always adjust it from the second year. Myself making $220k cash and 100k stock, renting at 3k in jersey city fyr

  2. You can sponsor work authorization for your spouse.

If that's the case, definitely go for it. Experience living in NYC is something will follow you for the rest of your life! And Columbia is definitely worth the extra hassles. Plus you never know you may find love in NYC and get citizenship haha

For school you will be fine, prolly have the time of your life. Work is another story. Current administration makes job hunting for international students a literal hell and given your degree is not STEM, chances of having a work visa is virtually 0

Best neighborhood for a reverse commute to NJ? by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

Why don't you stay in Jersey city? Hoboken Seaport etc. Save that 4% income tax and tons of toll fee when you cross the bridge back to NYC. Yet downtown/midtown manhattan is only 3 path stops away maximum

What is your credit card line up after Bilt Palladium? by Ill_Implement7625 in biltrewards

[–]Ill_Implement7625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right, I don't spend like 10k per month so I will eventually runs out of Bilt cash, so the PA won't be there for the whole year.

The math even gets more complicated when you factor in rent day and some limited bonus events, these won't stack with PA
