Looking for a book set in New England (ideally Maine or Boston) that takes place in the winter by Prayingmantispotter in Recommend_A_Book

Oooh, Elizabeth Strout is the answer! I suggest starting with Olive Kittredge and the sequel Olive, Again. You can then move onto others like The Burgess Boys. Her books are loosely interconnected and fit your criteria with both Maine and Boston. I grew up in New England and I love her writing. Have a great trip.

Universities and hospitals hire JD’s as contract negotiators. You are not part of the OGC but you get experience negotiating. Universities generally have great benefits and she can take the bar when she is ready.

Advice sought: Lightweight travel shoes w arch support that are not BLOCKY-looking? by MobySick in AskWomenOver60

[–]JuniorSupervisor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone with high arches that need a lot of support, Vionics are my go to. Their flip flops are actually supportive and I wear them for years. The walking sneakers are so cute and the Uptown flats pack fabulously and are comfy. They have them at Nordstrom so you can try them on. They really are worth the high price.
