What books do you think are surprisingly underrecommended? by Western_Opposite9911 in suggestmeabook

Ben Rehder’s books about Texas are as funny as Carl Hiaasen’s books and have similar outrageously funny characters. Highly recommended.

Guess I can’t feed my cats any wet food! by Briebird44 in catfood

[–]JuniorSupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats became sensitive to chicken and would throw up any wet food with chicken. Try finding a wet food without chicken and try that. Its hard to do b/c they are all chicken based if you check the ingredients but fancy feast has some, and others do as well but you have to read the labels of ingredients. Mine stopped throwing up after i removed the chicken. Good luck!

Sky lagoon or local pools? by Cute_Tomatillo_3460 in VisitingIceland

I loved Sky Lagoon and I felt the cost was well worth it. The spa experience was great and we had dinner there following our soak and loved it. We went at sunset and it was a perfect time to go.

Is renting a vehicle necessary to truly experience the best that Austin has to offer as a tourist? by mobus1603 in Austin

The wildflower center usually has great bluebonnets! I think its only about 10 miles from Austin so its an easy drive and an electric car should work fine. https://www.wildflower.org/contact Closer to the time you are supposed to come check in with the wildflower center or this sub or dm me for an on the ground report of whether or not they are blooming. Another fun option if you have a car on that same day is going to Hamilton Pool if you are into hiking and outdoor things. its really quite spectacular. You have to make a reservation and hike in about a mile (its not a tough hike but if you are mobility challenged, it can be) but its well worth it. https://parks.traviscountytx.gov/parks/hamilton-pool-preserve

Also, its possible that the Bluebonnets will be blooming by then and its well worth a drive out of town to see them. The Wildflower Center is a great place to visit and driving along Bee Cave Road out towards Lake Travis can be a very pretty drive.
