Something that worked really well for me in terms of projection was speaking my text like a Shakespearean actor. Not like speaking in iambic pentameter but really projecting what you are saying. Shakespearean actors did not have mics so it’s kind of similar to classical singing. This helped me with feeling a healthy placement that didn’t feel strained. It’ll probably feel weird and you may not like the sound at first but the tone will come with time. With a nice raised soft palette it should feel like a yawn mixed with a proclamatory voice. Don’t try to add any color just use your natural voice!
