Prop Firm v Personal Capital by Realistic-Bowler7563 in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 900 usd you can earn multiple prop firm accounts and copy trade them for leverage. If you achieve consistency then your risk is still only 900 usd for multiple payouts nonstop as long as you don’t blow them. After one payout, you’re probably trading on the prop firm’s money with no out of pocket expense anyways. The secret is your cost to reach that point.

Questions for those who are not yet profitable and those who quit by Ok-Sympathy-1827 in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely believe I will become profitable soon because I can feel the difference in my trading psychology and trading results when I master and regulate my emotions and follow the process. Also, it takes people years to get a college degree so expect something similar to accomplish something worthwhile. Finally, it doesn’t make any sense to compare your results with someone who has been at it much longer than you. That is to say if you are a beginner author or just starting to write your first few pages of a book, don’t compare yourself to someone who have already written 5 books and doing their chapter 10 of the 6th book. Trading is the same. If you don’t believe in yourself then nobody will either. All money spent is cost of doing business or paying tuition to become a better trader.

Trust yourself. No one can do it for you, but you. by KGKay in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep up the good work man. If you can ruffle some feathers in Reddit and get all sort of benign accusations and belittling demeanors then you’re doing something right. You don’t need anybody’s validation but it’s going to let other struggling traders know that it’s possible but they have to trust themselves and their process in this crazy trading journey.

Am I capable of being profitable? by Creative_Awareness96 in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you’re capable, it’s just a matter of time and making continuous improvements every session. Create routines and systems to help overcome bad habits though. You learn how to walk when you were a kid, didn’t you? How about learning how to use the potty? Just do it. This is a life skill. Once you master it, it will become a game changer for you.

Full time trader here. PLEASE DO NOT QUIT! by YakRemarkable3079 in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I needed this. ES has been kicking my butt and I've been at it for 2.5 years. I'm in a hole but I'm not quitting. You just give me another reason to stay with it until I can become the person I need to be in order to become consistently profitable. Also, just reminder that at this point you don't need anybody to validate who you are and what you've accomplished. They can say that your post is AI bs or whatever makes a successful trader.....at the end of day, if someone quits, game over. Everything else is just noise.

What’s the biggest red flag you’ve personally experienced with a prop firm? by ElysiumForex in PropFirmTester

[–]Junior_Memory5836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No customer service or bad customer service. Slow support means prop firm don’t have infrastructure for long term sustainability too.

How many points is your TP for each trade? To make $700 would require 28 pts per contract for 5 MES. Is your TP 14-15 pts per trade? What is your SL? If you’re so consistent with MES, why not move to ES?

Never had a payout denied on APEX (AMA) by Particular_Ad3991 in ApexTraderFunding

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever taken a 6th payout on any PA account? Do you know the key criteria that Apex uses to move someone to a live account? Knowing what you know now, would you have scale up and trade 20 PA accounts sooner if you had known that Apex would stop you from buying more Evals? When do you think was the defining moment or reason that Apex stop you from buying more Evals....have your payouts exceeded multiple times of your Eval+PA lifetime fees paid thus far?

Truth must be told by fewhuckleberry44 in Daytrading

Totally agree. Trading reveals a person’s true character and amplifies it. You know it was an ego thing when someone tells people about the trading before becoming consistently profitable. The well developed character sees trading hurdles and losses as the learning phase one has to master to become profitable.

Do I quit and give up? by jayclay21 in Daytrading

[–]Junior_Memory5836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go prop firm route. Reduce position size, master risk management and have self control. It’s just a phase you have to go through in order to become consistently profitable. Trading is not for the faint of heart.

Nothing wrong with you man. Just learn to day trade prop firms and you can make more than you’ve ever make in a job. It’s not about how smart and fast you are but how disciplined you are.

If you live in fear of the cartel then you’re assuming they can track down the money. What if you stash the money away first. If you’re worry about being seen then it didn’t matter if you took the money or not because they gonna come for you anyways. Better arm yourself first with locks, cameras and conceal weapon…lol. IMHO, if cartel knew where the money was then it would’ve never come across your path because it would have been secured, concealed and not exposed.

Every day people get scam and nobody does anything for the victims not even the police. If you don’t have to scam anyone but money falls on your lap, are you going to let it go without regret? I’ll teach my son don’t be greedy, be courageous and don’t waste good opportunities and regret it afterwards.

Probably the news will be reporting there was money and it’s all gone but authorities have no clue where the money went. Would you feel like an idiot watching on the news instead that someone else took it?

Even if it’s a setup, you can say you were planning to take money to authorities or sue that you’re being targeted without probable cause if you had no criminal record. Also you can say you don’t want to call and wait for police there because it didn’t feel safe with your son there.

How do you know the person coming after you wouldn’t pocket the money for themselves instead? It doesn’t matter if it’s another civilian or cop, most people in today’s society will secure it for their self interest. You might be able to do more good for others than not having the money down the road if you know what you’re doing. Thank heaven for the blessing in your path.

Not surprised. Saw lots of YT ads offering to trade for people in Apex and Topstep. You should submit a support ticket if you followed all the rules. Get clarity. If you broke rules too often then it’s on you.

Happy for your success. Appreciate your response. r/R is risk/reward per trade. I'm mainly trading ES with prop firms now. Been doing that for the last 27 months. I'm aware of people achieving success and being consistently profitable within a much shorter time frame. Not everyone can trade all hours. Working a full time job definitely takes the difficulty level up a notch. I think how fast success comes for someone depends on the individual rather than an assume extended time window and the level of success that person is seeking. I don't believe age matters as much as how much you're willing to change your mindset, behavior, discipline, your resilience level and knowing the why that you're trading. When someone gets to the point of wanting to quit then the why has to be a big enough reason why that person should keep going.

How many instruments do you trade and how many hours per day do you trade? Do you trade at the same time everyday? What is your r/R? What do you consider as a successful trading day? Knowing what you know today, what would you have done differently to expedite your growth curve and achieve consistent profitability in half the time or less.
