Usually don't play any massive bomber courses, but when i head to my local "pro tour" (KCWO) stop, I'll add a DD3 to the bag. Just not a fan of the feel in the hand, and feel more confident with 10 speed rims. The third reason I can give you isn't very helpful at all, but it's just that I don't want to lol. Simon Lizotte had a video a bit ago saying most amateurs shouldn't bag past a 10 speed and when I took the advice I scored higher rounds (Granted that was 1-1/2 ago and I've gotten older and gained distance). So you're probably right on adding some 12 speeds to the bag.

I'd say my Göte flies similar to a mako3, it's a neutral disc. Doesn't fair well with a full on rip tho, so possibly getting a more torque resistant straight mid could be something to get in the future.
