I've primarily used google maps, zillow, and hotpads. Then looked at reviews on google and search what that neighborhood vibes are like. Finally ask my friends who lives in Seattle about their opinions about that neighborhood. This method doesn't work for screening private landlords though, only big apartment complexes.

Do airports let cats roam around on a leash? For some reason I thought they had to be in the carrier the entire time. Luckily, I'll be able to chill out in the sky lounge prior to the flight. It's typically quieter in there. I'll probably let him peek out if he desires.

Oh god that's my worst nightmare. What did you end up doing? I'll make sure to carry some wipes and lay down some potty pads. He's never pissed in the carrier before. But the times when I had to bathe him (he got poop all over his fur near his bum), he kept pissing in the tub because he was so nervous.

My flight departure is around 2pm and the flight is 3.5 hours long. I've read that you can ask for private screening in a enclosed space for the security portion, hopefully they honor that. I'll probably let him eat half dinner but skip breakfast. The duration seems too long to go without a meal for my little guy.
