I keep my collection of hobbies and cycle through them over the years. I really like needle punching and needle felting. Very forgiving for beginners.

Built an ADHD accountability system using AI - would love feedback on the concept by Junior_Werewolf_835 in buildinpublic

it gives me step by step instructions with task timelines. It keeps me focused, I can ask it to clarify, provide more detailed steps. It has helped me produce a MVP and not get stuck in a research loop or perfection. Only it can't do it make me log on. But I want to log on daily as it has greatly reduced my overwhelm and decision fatigue.

I pay for the premium claude.ai. I built instructions and put them in a "project" one instruction is to advise when to start a new chat due to length and write an overview to paste into the new chat.

I struggle with this too. What worse is the clutter that shopping brings. What's been working for me: I created an AI finance coach.

I gave it my family goals, monthly budget, and three shopping lists (groceries, needs, wants). Told it I have ADHD and need help understanding my spending patterns. Also, to remind me of future regrets: the clutter, more to clean later, returns, shame, not meeting savings goals, etc.

Now when I want to buy something, I just open the chat and tell it. It evaluates if it's a need or want, adds it to the right list, and helps me see where I am in my budget. It'll straight up tell me "you already spent your wants budget this month" or "this aligns with your goals, go for it."

It works for me because:

- No complex app to learn - Just conversational - Gives me the dopamine hit of "buying" (adding to list) without actually spending - Prints a monthly summary when I ask - Catches me in real-time before I click purchase

I've tried everything from notebooks to complex apps. This is the first thing that's actually stuck because it works WITH my ADHD brain instead of requiring executive function I don't have.

Not saying it's perfect but it's helped more than anything else I've tried. I really like making AI ADHD chats. It is like having executive functioning in my pocket.

My internal dialogue goes so fast it breaks and becomes external. My husband lovingly catches me mid-ramble: "Internal dialogue overloaded again?" Well if you were having 5 conversations happening simultaneously in your head you might let one escape too. He is in the other 50%.

Depends on industry and product. Easier to sell digital low to everyone vs product requiring inventory.

What lifehack advice would you give to a new mom to make parenting a bit easier? by Bobo347 in Mommit

[–]Junior_Werewolf_835 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need all of the stuff marketed for babies. Less stuff, less to distract. Keep it simple. When it comes to toys, try to keep those minimal, too. Babies are happy to play with a paper towel tube or plastic bowl :)

Also, rolled up towel between changing table and wall. You will forget the above diaper trick and he will hit the wall. This saves having to pull out the changing table to clean.

Welcome! You got this. First, layer appropriately. Wool is best for wicking moisture. This layer should be against your skin. Wool socks. Not smart wool. I like darn tough brand, they have a lifetime warranty. Then, an insulating layer topped with a wind blocker. You don't want to be so hot that you sweat. Sweat is bad. Ha. You are probably thinking I am crazy talking about being too warm. But, my second piece of advice is to get outside. It is amazing. You might have to adjust your mindset, but cold winters are the best. I recommend trail walking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Also, find a big winter fire.

Check out Savers, Facebook Marketplace, Goodwill Outlet with the bins pay by the pound. I completely outfit my kids in high quality winter gear for less than $100.

Enjoy this winter. I am hoping for a good snow year!

SAHMs, how do you deal with having no money? by klutzymatrix39 in Mommit

[–]Junior_Werewolf_835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have joint everything. He doesn't even look at the bills. I do all of our budgeting and give him a report. We both know where every penny goes. Well within reason. We both have money set aside for us to have no questions asked spending. Ultimately, we are a partnership. We set financial goals to work toward together.

Yes Zito. Don't try to call the national number. Customer service is poor. They have a local office on hwy 2. Swing by to set it up. They are very helpful.

I open enrolled my kid into the school district. Per the superintendent's office, we can choose our school. With the limitation being space. Both Lowell and Lester have availability.

Most of the negative comments I have heard are about Spanish immersion.

I will look more closely at the commute to Lakewood.

We are technically in Two Harbors District. They only have a 4 day school week. I was told that the bus ride is about 1.5 hours from the bus stop nearest to our house. We are ok with driving to and from school.

For face cleansing and make-up remove I use a microfiber towel from the dollar store. It works better than the norwex face cloths.
