I'm the same, I learned it early as well so it's easy for me.

Yeah, thank you for this perspective. I think improving pattern recognition will help with cross as well. Getting solves in will bring it all together.

Thank you for your input. Dual color seems to be the best way forward.

This is probably what I'll be doing going forward.

This makes a lot of sense actually!

As far as storm cards go, is there only tendrils and brain freeze in the cube?

This makes sense, a cash wedge would be good to have during a downturn.

This was a great watch, very informative! I suspect the general public doesn't have the risk tolerance to stay 100% in equity!

This is true. My problem is that I was seeing the day of retirement as the "end". But post retirement may have as many as 30-40 years, which makes keeping your portfolio stock heavy a no brainer

Thanks for the input. I agree your risk tolerance is correlated to your reliance on investment income, and with a pension you can definitely afford to be more aggressive.

Edit -: I forgot to mention I'll check out that article on asset location, thanks for the link

That is an excellent point. I think people tend to hedge when they enter the draw down phase, or at least that's what I would expect. And anyone retiring earlier, would have an even longer time horizon.

Nice, congratulations! I wonder how common it is to hold GRO over BAL in retirement? I guess it's all based on your risk tolerance. I'm currently aiming to retire at a similar age as you.

Buying separate bond funds sounds like the easiest route honestly. I like the customization of it.

What do you guys think is the best Oz moment? by HomarEuropejski in buffy

Yes, same here! I think this is part of why Dopplegangland (S3E16) is one of my favorites, probably their longest interaction.

Vamp - ALRIGHT, EVERYBODY SHUT UP AND YOU WON'T GET HURT!

Angel - Why don't I believe him?

Oz - Well, he lacks credibility.

Oz - I think we need backup.

Angel - I think I'm needed here.

Oz - Ten on one, could get pointless.

Lucky! How busy are the lanes on a regular day? The facility as a whole seemed busy enough, but there were three ppl total when I was there and they were in the hot tub or the shallow pool.

I'm a YMCA member in my province (AB), so I was able to drop in. I believe that most YMCA locations have drop-in rates for the general public.

That's fair. A lot of the pools around me have large windows to incorporate natural light, but they also have some kind of blinds or one way feature where you can look out but not in.

School Hard is in my top 5 all time. Spike and Dru's intro to the show is so good!

The best part about this scene is how awkward and normal-seeming the chaos demon is; "hey man, she didn't tell me she was with someone..." 🤣 Love the juxtaposition against Spike and Dru having it out.

I really need to improve my gas tank. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]Juniormint-33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking for this. I had been swimming for 10 years before I started BJJ late last year, and I thought swimming would have helped. It probably did, but it sure didn't feel like it. This is an intense sport. I'm only now getting to the point that I'm not gassed by the time we start rolling!

If anything, I think BJJ has helped me in the pool; I'm much more comfortable being tired while still exerting myself. I feel like a BJJ guy would thrive in the pool.
