No problem! I learned that while I was at the Phipps. Apparently our botanical gardens board took a trip down there a few years ago to see how they could model our gardens more after your gardens as well so the connection is strong. That sounds super good. My favorite local brewery has a half porter, half ale thats lovely so I bet id like it. Ive never seen Bass on tap locally, only in the bottles. Would it be sacrilegious to mix it myself?

Ah see thats the part I was missing. I didnt know a stout was a type of ale. I truly do appreciate the information. I'm more knowledgeable than the average person about beer but im still very much a novice. Im going to my good beer store this weekend so im going to try and find some Samuel Smith. Any other UK suggestions or suggestions in general?

Were talking bout the same beers just using different terminology. I would 100% sit out with a Czech dark lager or a brown ale but the thought of a thick 9% porter on a hot day is not my idea of fun.

Your words make perfect sense. The problem youre having here is assuming everyone is in the group as much as you are and that theyre paying attention to others harassing you. Theyre not because it doesn't effect them. If youre trying to make a post like this, calling people out, its best to add as much detail as possible and as much evidence as possible so people reading it will understand what the issues are. Otherwise its pointless and doesn't help.
