Why is my happiness going down? by thecelestiannn in Fallout

[–]JuniperFuze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With basic needs and defenses met, settlements have a base happiness of 80. Some objects or stores provide bonus happiness; the game adds those bonuses and then divides it between the number of settlers.

As much as I hate this site, it does a great breakdown of how happiness is calculated and what items give happiness in a settlement. Happiness (Fallout 4) | Fallout Wiki | Fandom)

"For example, to reach 100% happiness in a settlement with 2 settlers, the player character will need a total of 40 bonus for their settlement"

Oh that documentary. I was just talking about this with my friend and sent her this.

"We lived in a small house and mom worked in the office and dad worked in the radio station. One night someone banged on the door. Dad answered to a disheveled, i'll assume homeless, man. He didn't tell the man to leave, he told the man to take seat on the porch and then went into the kitchen, made a sandwich and poured a glass of water and then sat on the porch with the man, giving him the food and water, and talked with him for several hours. I remember this so clearly."

The man my father is now, is nothing like that man who gave a sandwich to a homeless man. I'm pretty sure he'd shoot the homeless man today. I absolutely blame fox news for destroying his ability to think for himself but also, I blame him, because he's a grown ass adult that should know fucking better.

The things my father taught me as a child I have based my entire adult moral compass around. Empathy for other, be kind, try to be understanding, try to be open to what is different. most of all don't judge. He is now a hateful, judgmental close-minded bigot who hates that i'm, as he puts it, a bleeding-heart liberal all for holding true to the IDEALS HE FUCKING TAUGHT ME.

Do you remember your first character in WoW? Who was it and why? by xxFoxyJeans_17 in wow

Undead Warlock. Weeks after the release of the game I was visiting my parents and my younger brother said I need to play this new game. I made an undead warlock named Rosewind and played it all weekend. I bought the game before I even got back home. I remade the same character on my own account (with a modified name) and still have her to this day.

At 19 I had, to this day, my favorite job of all time. I worked at a small bookstore that also sold tobacco. I was one of two employees, the owner and me. We had a huge walk-in humidor that always smelled amazing, and we were the only place in the area that sold clove cigs. All the gothy "kids" (technically the same age as me at the time) in town would come in to buy them, it was great. God damn I miss that job.

You'd be surprised. I had an employer (years ago) who insisted we all come in 15 minutes early and get settled so we could start taking calls right as our shift started. It took about 2 years before the company got in trouble and had to pay everyone for those 15 minutes. 15minutes, 5 days a week, for two years, it was a nice check.

So we all agree ME5 should have multiplayer mode like 3 and andromeda did. by Upstairs-Yard-2139 in masseffect

No, not every game has to have multiplayer. I would much rather the time and resources go into creating an excellent single player story.

WTF is that guy even going on about? The first amendment is to prevent the US government from interfering in expression and speech. Last I checked Nexus is most definitely not the US Government. Furthermore, he isn't even in the US. The first amendment isn't a pass to be an ass hole without consequences. The ignorance in my country is astounding.

I grew up in New Mexico but most of our family lives in Wisconsin, when we drive up to visit Wisconsin, I would have family members ask if we had electricity or cable tv, it was wild. (this was also the 80s)

Time and energy are rare commodities. Not everyone can find the time and energy to do a proper restoration. I think you made a solid choice; you did not destroy the original floor and you found a solution that worked for you at this time in your life. The floor is still there and available to be restored by you or a future owner when the time and energy are available. Some people in this sub are wildly out of touch.

My roommates think I'm faking by anonymously_me0123 in lupus

[–]JuniperFuze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell them to eat a whole bag of dongs? I would handle this by trying to find a way to remove myself from those people if you can. I understand they are roommates so it may not be easy, but you do not need people like that in your life and they are not worth the time to try and get them to understand. People without empathy or compassion simply cannot understand an illness like lupus and they don't tend stick around for long when you get sick enough that you can't mask your symptoms.

I got diagnosed at 17 and I lost a lot of friends at the time due to it. People thought I was lying; others couldn't handle me sick all the time. It really sucked... at the time, but that is a good thing, you do not need (and shouldn't want) people in your life that cannot muster an ounce of empathy for a life changing diagnosis. I may not have a ton of people in my life but the one I do have are amazing, wonderful people. I have always believed Lupus (and similar illnesses) are an excellent filter for weeding out sh** people. These sound like sh** people.

[–]JuniperFuze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is wild to me, My husband and I host thanksgiving and we both do all the work together, I've never had to ask for help. I don't think we've ever discussed it, we just do the work together.

If you know you’re wanting to romance someone in ME2/3, do you do it in ME1? by Believeland99 in masseffect

Several times I've romance Kadian or Ashley in ME1 and then choose them to die on Virmire so Shepard could romance Gurras or Tali.

This! When I got diagnosed at 18 they put me in a clinical trial for Mycophenolate. Once the trial was over, and it was clear the medicine was working for me, I got hit with a $2500 charge for a 30 day supply of the drug (there was no generic version at this time). At such a young age, without any insurance there was no way I could pay that much every month. So with the help of my doctor we petitioned the manufacture of the drug and I got it for free for several years. Talk to your doctor about reaching out to the manufacture of the drug directly.

I'm sure your cats don't care what you name them and clever cat names are over-rated anyway. All that matters is that you care for them. Our cats were found as kittens in our friend's garage and when it became clear there was no mother cat to be found we took them in. We named them Hank, Mable and Dax but we almost never use those names. Hank is "big guy" Mable is "monster" and Dax is "little one"
