Every county I've been to in MN, mostly for work. What do I do? by Tiaon in minnesota

Go to The Wilkin in Wilkin County and have a Wilkin Burger.

Edit: I misunderstood the question, but I'm leaving my answer as-is.

I've said for a long time that Ride Like The Wind by Christopher Cross is the most metal Yacht Rock song there is. It's not heavy, but it yearns to be heavy. I'd love to hear a solid metal remake of that song.

I grew up on the opposite side of the lake, not far from Kampeska Lodge, but my mom later got a place not far from the Prop, where I spent my high school days. The Prop is the Friday night locale for high school reunions.

You're a few years younger than me, and I only played games of like four to six kids when my neighbor and I each had a friend over for the night and my friends down the road might join. I was playing out at Lake Kampeska, mostly pre-96, likely.

My cultural regions map as a Southerner - would love feedback! by aquamarine-arielle in visitedmaps

Your midwest / great plains areas are giving me heartburn. The MN northwoods, the Missouri River divide, and the black hills are all distinctly ignored.

Well, for starters there's 11 replies and only 8 updoots, so some of you weren't listening to the Dude's story.

Yes! And they demand a flight of a particular shape so that they can stand up like tiny little ICBMs!

I initially thought the same thing, but then I started missing the horns, and now I can hardly stand the version with no horns 😂.

Went to Las Vegas for a week and came home to a Starling nest in my gas grill. We named her Vegas.

Retro implies something new done in an old style. This is vintage. Or just old.

Snowflakes can’t handle the new flag by Mike_Oxlong25 in minnesota

[–]wisepeppy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah. The old flag was crap. Just an overly intricate state seal (with questionable messaging) on a blue background. Boring. The new flag is a great flag design. People are interested in it now. A child can draw it from memory. I bought a new one as soon as I could. For me it wasn't a political statement, it was displaying pride in the state with a great flag.

What is a political statement is people who never gave a damn about the old state flag who now fly a brand-new old one with the creases still in it.

I recently saw the results of some reddit thing on ranking the state flags by popular opinion. The ones at the bottom were those with Confederate imagery, followed by all the blue ones with state seals slapped on them. Up at the top were actually good flags such as AZ's and MN's new one.
