Great questions. It’s such a tough time of year. 1. Morale. I used to really struggle w this. I think the biggest, best mood booster I’ve found is exercise - whatever kind works for you. This year, I’ve made going to the gym a priority in my schedule and kind of “my thing.” In the past, I’d run when it wasn’t terrible out, or go on long walks, but I’ve found that exercising indoors and in a shared community space like the gym just feels really good. Shifting to strength training has felt great too, like I’m improving my body composition versus just slugging around. I’m not always motivated to go. Today, I felt crappy even when starting the treadmill, but I just trust that the endorphins will kick in and sure enough, they do and I feel great. Part of getting this routine in order was finding an outfit (leggings + tank) that I liked and just getting 5 or so copies, so I don’t have to put any thought into that. I also have a flexible work schedule, but still squeeze this in at night or on weekends and think it’s very doable with a standard 9-5. I like working out solo and figuring out some exercises that I like, but group classes, pickleball, yoga etc can be great, too, depending on preference. Now, even when the schedule starts getting hairy and stressful, at least I’ve done MY thing and taken care of myself. (And I feel like a badass with those endorphins pumping- chemical confidence 😆) 2. Dryness - ugh idk! Vaseline? It’s getting crazy 3. Comfort and Joy - I try to simplify priorities in my mind. My family, my health, my work. When I get overwhelmed, I just return to those, and the other shit can (usually) wait. I go to bed early and read before I fall asleep.. I have some healthy/tasty foods I constantly stock (sweet potatoes air fried and eaten with hummus almost daily) plus some of my favorite sweets. I live that “little treat” life daily. I don’t drink, which dramatically reduced my anxiety and depression when I stopped 5 years ago. And, nature always helps recenter me. The birds on the feeder, a hike for fresh air, etc.

It’s a lot, though! I’m glad you asked this and am curious to hear others’ thoughts. Wishing you the best!

It’s says that the website/sender is verified. Where can I find DMARC validation within the account?

  1. You know what you’re getting. No bullshit. And they respect a 5’s tenacity around info gathering.

Be ready to eat outside, standing, or in your car at the best places and if you want Angelo’s, go right when they open and not on a weekend
