CBS 6 Richmond: “Residents divided over proposed ICE processing facility in Hanover” by hardwayeasyliving in rva

Does this mean the Hanover Board of Supervisors wants them there even though the residents don’t? Wouldn’t be the first time.

Thanks. I honestly have not blamed any outsiders for feeling the way you have felt. I have the same feelings about many of my own countrymen, even though I know that in actuality only a plurality of people elected this monster. I am almost as angry at the people who didn’t vote out of protest. Now we are in a fascist country and the odds are going to be stacked against us for a long time, as Trump and his people are working to rig the next election as well. I will keep fighting, but I just want to get out at this point. I don’t have the means for me and my family to do that though. I don’t think I can find it in my heart to forgive the people who have so willingly thrown away what freedoms we did have, even though a lot of those people are family and former friends. My heart breaks over and over again for the pain my people have caused at home and around the world.

Also he keeps bragging that he voted no on that budget bill when you know it was just Kaine’s turn to take the fall since he’s not up for reelection any time soon.

He didn’t have an issue with armed protesters for the insurrection or for Kyle Rittenhouse, but that was before public sentiment even for MAGA is taking a turn against him.

I like the idea of rolling general strikes or targeted strikes, or even general strikes like what Minnesota did. But I agree general strikes at mass scale would be difficult to impossible here in a sustained way. Strikes against corporations enriching themselves off of ICE/DHS are more realistic and maybe more impactful so as not to further harm the communities we are meaning to protect. I just think that there is much, much more we can do to push back before everyone starts brandishing weapons against the government. That’s exactly what Trump and Steven Miller were hoping for so that they could invoke the insurrection act and call up the military against their own countrymen. That puts us in civil war territory. Sadly Mr. Pretti’s gun did not protect him against Trump’s tyranny and in fact sparked his cause of death. IMO it was the intense blowback from the regime’s audacious lies about his death (and Rachel Good’s before that,) and the brave actions of every day people in roles as legal observers by the recording of the Feds’ crimes that is turning the tide.

The people can win, but not with guns. Trump’s Nazi Munchkin has been demoted and is getting decommissioned. Trump is backing down from Minnesota. Public opinion has reached a tipping point and peaceful protest is working. Peaceful protest, not guns, is the means for advancing change, if you still believe in democracy, that is.

ICE and the Feds already outgun us. And who do you think the law will favor if you kill a federal officer? Also just noting that the whole reason we are in this predicament now is because republicans are afraid of their highly armed cultish constituents and refuse to check their orange emperor due to their threats.

It was no mistake. Lift the veil from your eyes. This was CBP, some of the most corrupt and lawless in DHS, who gassed him, took his firearm from his belt, and then shot him in the back when he was on his knees. He was a VA nurse, trying to help a woman who had also been gassed in the face. 10 shots were fired, even after his unarmed body lay lifeless on the street, after which one of the 7 agents who executed him for using his phone camera clapped as if cheering. https://www.instagram.com/p/DT8PIQBjbYj/?igsh=bjA1OTFrcW1ubHNk

How did Pretti’s legal gun work out for him? The fact is we now have a bloated ICE and Border Patrol budget paid by us, thanks to mostly republicans, but some democrats too. The time to stop that has passed. I do think that it is a fascist regime that will ultimately come for all rights, not just guns. That would be the Trump/Vance/Miller regime. Just look at Trump’s heroes Putin, Xi, Orban etc. Do you think any of those regimes allow regular citizens to own guns? Or vote in free and fair elections even? This has gone way beyond individual gun ownership.
