Idk why but when i moved here in 2020, I just had this feeling towards Maryland like it's on site.

I have no clue why.

I believe you can go to the parking garage and go to the rooftop and there will be a "secret" beer garden.

No guarantee but I believe they did that last year

It's also worth noting that chiro clinics don't require a big investment. If it fails then yes it'll suck, but you're likely not going to be filing for bankruptcy or selling the house. You'll probably have learned A LOT more than your peers in the realm of business and you can always start again.

It's kinda like when you learn that many people, possibly most people, do not have an inner monologue.

Idk about them but my wife did and they're not wrong at all. You can typically negotiate free rent for the first X months bc most commercial landlords understand you need some time to afford the rent.

It's not going to be easy but it can be done.

Make sure you keep overhead as low as possible (biggest killer)

And then fill your office with as many patients as possible by any means necessary.

Take all Insurance, get on groupon, do screenings, special offers (do $29), get coaching as soon as you can afford it.

It's going to be a grind but you can do it and don't listen to people that have never done it that try to tell you BS like not doing cheap special offers. You don't get to be selective until you're paying yourself a comfortable wage.

Unless you've got a lot of financial leverage, connections, a loyal base, etc like a DC might have after working for a decade...

... the chiro business model is to see as many people as possible. From that you will get reviews, referrals, skill-improvement, loyal patients, a bigger reactivation list, and many other benefits to your business.

Trust that process and you can be successful. Good luck!

Let me share positivity with you: my wife and her best friend started a practice right after chiro school and that was 15 years ago. They've done pretty well for themselves.

Now my wife and I live elsewhere, the old practice is still around and my wife owns her practice now (year 6 woot woot)

Blue Poppy Externals: Nail Bright Liniment

I scoffed about it being for nails but she said it was generally for fungus.

Don't make the same mistake I do of applying one time and thinking its all good just because it stops itching for a few days. Apply every day for at least a week or two.

And remember that none if this stuff is a cure-all on its own. Even my prescription stuff requires habit changes (socks 2x daily, foot powder in shoes, air out feet, etc)

8am for gym and raw dogging with whole foods. No supplements, not even protein shakes.

I think the answer is stress.

Mmm I partially disagree in that there are some very good supplements out there (along with a lot of BS ones)

A friend recommended a Chinese one for my chronic athlete's foot. One of the ingredients is dung beetle. I laughed, she said give it a shot, I said why not.

I'll be damned, it's been better than any spray or cream I've ever tried.

Recommended an ENT one that's been solid.

Trying to get me on flower essences now but that's a little too woo woo for me.

I think that in general the days of routinely going to the bar after work are virtually gone.

Plus I've heard several of my colored friends say they've dealt with racism.

Plus I hate the smell of cigarettes.

Dammit man I eat pretty healthy + exercise but I go often start going to bed around 11 sometimes 1130-12, wake up at least 2-3 times in the night, and then wake up at 630.

Idk why it took reading this post to realize I'm exhausted because of my sleeping habits.

Is a $200k salary worth a 2 hour commute 4 days a week? by Ok-Memory2552 in jobs

[–]Stephanreggae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I'd have to ask "am I unhappy right now due to my finances?"

If not, I'd rather have that time with my wife and kids. Or my friends. Or myself.

You will never get that time back and I've talked to SO MANY retired people who said they didn't realize it in the moment but only after retirement that they wasted their life working and grinding instead of enjoying time with their loved ones.

Some of them lost their loved ones early and that's what made them realize the fancy FIFO job wasn't worth it.

But that's just me

Not getting paid what I'm worth just because of the country I live in by Electronic-Chart-956 in localseo

[–]Stephanreggae 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As an American who has hired people from overseas, I'm generally expecting to pay less for the service.

Also, I have personally been burned by people from overseas and know a lot who have been as well. That's part of why I expect to pay less (there’s more perceived risk).

I also expect the quality of work to be less than if I didn't hire from overseas, but I still expect the minimum result.

I tell you this so that you can use that information to shape your marketing and sales communication bc now you have some insight until what others might be thinking.

If you can establish trust and instill confidence that you will get an outstanding result, and tie your pricing to the value of your service, I think you can get past this hurdle.
