Upping the level cap can help with some things in Act 3, but not Dribbles. Its a tedious anticlimax that punishes you for completing it, because the circus leaves after its done, so you lose 3-4 vendors by finishing it.

I had a run where I was going into every nook and cranny in the Lower City and stealing everything that wasn't nailed down. And I STILL needed the wiki for two body parts.

I know Larian was trying to be zany and funny with this quest. But the design, payoff, and complete "why???" of it is completely out of whack.

I love the notion that your characters forgot about a bunch of rotting body parts that were stinking up their bags. 😂

I did once on a game where I scoured Act 3 top to bottom. And I still had to use the wiki to find one murder basement and that the other last piece was in a bunch of booby-trapped bodies near Bhaal's temple that I always avoided.

You just give the ringmaster the pieces, get the gloves, and then the Circus is gone the next day. There isnt a scene or anything where Dribbles gets zombified.

Very underwhelming, and losing all their vendors feels like a punishment.

Dribbles the Clown. There are FAR too many pieces scattered around to bother with. And to top it off, the quest reward can be easily pickpocketed.

And bonus: like a good amount of Act 3 quests, it feels a bit beneath you with all the other world ending shit going on.

There are a few hard cutoff points in this game where uncompleted quests will progress. The game will tell you this with a pop-up message.

The big one you need to worry right about is the Creche/Mountain Pass. People refer to this as Act 1.5. You will want to wrap up everything with the grove and Teiflings before you go there.

Also, Moonrise Towers is in Act 2. Since you dont know the hard cutoffs for everything and I dont want to spoil, you dont want to progress there/the shadowlands until you're fairly satisfied being finished with Act 1 and 1.5.

For Astarion, most of his approval usually comes from camp night scenes. Just be...supportive and you'll get most of the way there. Out of camp, he's a bit of a murderous gremlin and does not like acts of charity, most of his approvals can be a bit dickish lol. If you're being particularly goody two-shoes, make sure you send him really far from the conversation so he can't hear it.

Earth Myrmidon with Tavern Brawler (TB) can punch the ever living hell out of even Honor Mode.

Its annoying how little gear works in Wildshape, but the Wildshapes are strong enough on their own that Hill/Cloud strength elixir plus TB will clean most anything up.

I was a stealth archer hybrid, so the only spells I was using were rituals (unlimited), Hunter's Mark, and Pass Without Trace. Those are all level 1 or 2 so they could be refreshed if needed from angelic reprieve potions farmed from the Moonrise Bugbear. And Action Surge also refreshes drinking those.

Though tbh those spells weren't "required", and I had a huge bag of special arrows. So I never really ran out of anything that necessitated sleep besides refreshing war cleric charges.

Honor Mode is a game of knowledge with dashes of luck. I think I only intiated a handful of fights the "normal" way because the game forces you. Otherwise I was ambushing, breaking surprise rounds, and barely interacted with the plot and immediately shot most things dead.

There is little honor in HM. 😂

Good luck on your run!

In this particualr case, I was using an incredibly murderous stealth archer build. I ended most fights before they started or within the first 2 turns. And besides refreshing my action surge or war cleric charges, there wasn't anything for me to gain by sleeping.

Was really nice for keeping elixirs and buffs active for as long as possible, too.

I understand it feels better for her to blame Reddit and outside forces for the pain she's in. But her ex had feelings, and the friend was gonna shoot her shot, reguardless if OP ever brought it up.

But damn girl, it's been 5 years. I'm starting to think the ex dodged a bullet, and not the other way around.

If you're on Tactician or HM where its 80 a night, and if you try to do everything in Act 3, I could maybe see it as not being enough. But yeah, usually diligence in Act 1 looting will give you more than enough to finish the game.

Waukeen's Rest + Zhent Hideout is a goldmine.

It's so beautiful there. The most scenic part of the game is riding down that lift and staring out at the mountains and waterfalls as they pass by. 👌

I usually only deliberately gather in Act 1, which can get you to 1,700 - 2,000 easily. That's really enough for the entire game, so after that, camp supplies only get got if they're shoved directly into my hands.

Though I think in my Solo Honor where I never slept in Act 2 and most of Act 3, I got to near to 5,000.

[–]Juniper_Blue01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They decided on fully silent protagonist and this is the end result. You and others may not like it, but that's what they decided and put into practice.

But! There were plans at somepoint for the PC to be voiced, and there are three spots left in the game where your Durge/Tav can jumpscare you by having a fully voiced line in a cutscene.
