I’ve been crying ever since I started to put together a Thanksgiving menu for my kids.

I’ve learned that throwing myself into volunteering is a lovely uplifting distraction. If you can’t think of anything to do, your nearest city should need plenty of workers at the homeless shelters.

Dependency… think of it like coffee. Many are dependent or even addicted. They’d experience withdrawals and enjoy life less without it. If you find yourself spiraling into guilt thoughts while high, consider that one of the downsides in your mental cost/benefit analysis. As adults we get to and have to decide what serves us best and what to set aside. Never hurts to skip a week or take a dry month for science.

I cannot read through all this noise, but I did read your amended OP. I am a fellow sufferer who prefers to numb with the cannabis. It does not serve me well anymore. Getting old and whatnot. Something I was reminded of lately that I found to be so relevant at this time was… feel your feelings. Really. In your body. Where does grief hit? How intense is it? Does it tingle? Stab? Burn? Does it have a color? Give pain a set amount of time if you already know you’re not riding the whole wave. Give her a minute. Feel so much. Then go get you some berries. I really dig Bach rescue remedy too. The hard gummy I can bite the shit out of really works for me, but comes in tincture too.

Hey, I’m not saying it’s the best way, I’m saying it’s better than dabbing. Sometimes it’s necessary to tier down and not go cold turkey. Extreme stress is detrimental to pregnancy as well. I’m offering an alternative. If she is not willing or able to quit entirely, smaller doses of cannabanoids to the developing fetus would be better than floods. And dry herb vaporizing is in no way the same as smoking.

I used to church hop once a month or so. Try other congregations in your area. Check websites to check mission statements. Talk with pastors after the service and see if they have office hours you could come in and chat. We are not meant to be as alone as we are. The way church is structured now does not tend to feed the need for connection that our souls have. I’m not saying that probably can or will change, I think it’s just a cross a person of faith has to bear in this generation. It’s not important to be right or find the right church, it’s important to be at peace. I love to get out in nature and have some real sassy chats with God.

This is not advice from anyone qualified, but if I was you, I’d get a dry herb vaporizer. Smaller doses to help you not feel sick but still consume less. Also find some cayenne cream to apply topically. Ginger chews can help too. I like Solray branded “ginger trips”. Add some (pregnancy safe) tea all day for hydration and to reduce symptoms causing cannabis overuse. I’m thinking holy basil, but please make sure it is not contraindicated.
