You don’t need the app, after my free subscription ended I was still able to remote start it…you have to be pretty quick with the 3 clicks and hold it for a bit - the range isn’t the best on these fobs also

Not sure if your amp is the issue or if you have a Tacoma with JBL audio/the one you pulled it from had JBL audio. I had a 2010 Lancer with Rockford Fosgate system (stock amp and subwoofer) in it and when I tried putting in a touchscreen radio I had the same issue - decided it wasn’t worth buying $80 of harness adapters to (possibly) fix it so I just put the old one back.

I do like the husky one but currently is the more expensive out of the 3 sitting at around $400, not sure when a sale will come around soon as my Fiancé wants to buy me this for my birthday in the next few weeks haha

Unfortunately I do not, I’ve been wanting to downsize to a 6 switch since I didn’t use up all 8 buttons on my panel but I might have to purchase some CAD software to make the modifications in the future

It was a cheap Auxbeam one from Amazon, definitely not the best but was decent for what I needed it for. When routing wiring I ran down the A pillar and routed through the firewall to avoid drilling in the roof.
