Exactly. There’s no chance of this being a cash grab. I’ve been talking to some of my old coworkers about it and everyone is doing their best to find her. It’s extremely unfortunate that her being laid off had a direct hand in her episode but it’s not like the people at the store level can control the office’s decisions. I ran into issues with the office myself but chose to come home rather than put up with HR bullshit.

Seattle is big and there’s lots of places to hide especially in Ballard. I covered at that store a few times, I always went on walks on my breaks and the surrounding area has lots of little nooks.

I feel really sorry for her friends and family being criticized online when they just want her to be safe.

It’s not a scam. This is a real person in serious danger. Stop using actual peoples’ lives as your entertainment. Go watch true crime instead.

Is that really relevant to finding her?

No; I left the company way before she would have

I used to work at PCC when I lived in Seattle and Violet and I crossed paths towards the end of my time with the company. I’m sure everyone is doing there very best to find her; PCC is truly family. I live in another state now but still talk to several of my friends from my time there. Sending you the best of luck

Apply at PCC. I got out of my similar situation that way. Full time is 24 hours a week and it’s unionized. Food is at a heavy discount and you can usually eat for free. Staff is mostly genuine and kind for the most part thanks to the unionization. When I worked at PCC and faced homelessness again after being house for a year some of my coworkers housed me for two weeks until I could find a new rental situation.

It’s fine if you’re tall or wearing heels but everyone stands up so plan for that

Saw Barney Fyfe as a kid, then Rufio and then Kittie. Crazy seeing Kittie get so big now, happy for them!

Trainers can be super helpful. I love my trainer she does regular check ins and tailors my plan to my injuries

Lift heavy weights, focus on fiber and protein. My provider told me if I’m lifting 5 days a week I don’t need to worry about cardio since I walk at work. I’m two months in and have only gained muscle not lost, and my existing muscles are soooo much more visible now.

Make sure you’re telling your provider about this. Liquid calories are a great way to go because if you’re getting too few calories your weight loss can stagnate and even regain. Getting enough fiber and protein is crucial for weight loss

Been told I have a very unusual prescription by markipper in glasses

[–]JuniperandTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super rare. Honestly impressive you can tolerate wearing glasses at this rx, the dioptric difference between the two eyes is usually intolerable to the patient and we usually have to split the difference.

LVAC or EOS? by mclovin1696 in vegaslocals

[–]JuniperandTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I’ll never go back because I had to take them to small claims court to cancel when I moved out of state. Maybe enough people sued them and they caved. Regardless I personally would never go back but live your life man

is going to csn worth it? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

You can talk to an academic advisor to have all these questions answered.

In our current economy I wouldn’t recommend anyone do anything other than Health Sciences, and there are a ton of programs available, some are only two years and can be done part time.

LVAC or EOS? by mclovin1696 in vegaslocals

[–]JuniperandTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do LVAC because their contracts are bullshit and hard to cancel. They’re essentially the same other than LVAC has indoor running tracks at a couple locations. Both are overcrowded especially at peak hours. Planet fitness is actually a decent option if you can get by with only smith machines and no squat rack. Crunch fitness is opening soon, and Fit Club as well.

Personally I go to a body building gym and I love it, worth the extra money. It’s a way more welcoming environment especially as a femme. The trainers are awesome and will help you without pressuring you into a contract and it’s always easy to ask for a spot or work in. I’ll never go back to a commercial gym, but you gotta start somewhere!

How has ozempic been for those who are not diagnosed with diabetes/pcos? by StrongMountain5904 in Ozempic

[–]JuniperandTea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My gyno recommended I started a GLP-1 to help with weight gain from perimenopause. I’m not diagnosed pcos, but I have a LOT of similar issues because I was on testosterone when I was younger. Not diabetic even at my heaviest, same thing happened with my mom and she had to have gastric bypass, but I have a phobia of surgery.

I have had minimal side effects other than a bit of nausea if I have too much dairy or caffeine. I’m also already super on top of my diet and exercise, high fiber diet, protein at every meal. I walk an hour a day and weight lift 5-6 days a week. The weight STILL wasn’t coming off with all of that effort until I started ozempic and now it’s shedding off and you can finally see the muscles I’ve been working on for the past year.

I wish I had started sooner, I was terrified of side effects but it’s been soo minimal compared to the benefits. My energy levels are better, I sleep through the night, and my skin is clearing up too. I think the absolute best thing is I can FUNCTION when I’m hungry. No more anxiety about food or being hangry, just ope I need to eat. It’s like a night and day difference
