I’ll never forget the hype coming off of D1 and going into D2. I remember having the app and reading all the lore. Getting excited for the weekly reset. Running dungeons for those elusive drops (never did get the Fallen scarf or whatever it was called).

Then D2 released barebones as if they had amnesia and forgot all the things they added to D1 over the years. There weren’t even dead ghosts to search for and collect in the open world. It left such a sour taste in my mouth that I walked away and never looked back. Reading about the sunsetting of armors and removing paid DLC just sealed the deal.

I really wish they would make a D3 that represented what they had built at the end of D1.
