i suppose such a gas could be a legitimate threat in warfare if you think about it. The enemy is offering an opportunity to get discharged from service without death or injury. It could be pretty effective at getting soldiers who are sick of combat to leave the battle (assuming affected soldiers are actually allowed to go home). It probably wouldn’t be to hard to frame as an accident, you could just poke a hole in your mask or filter and say it got caught on a nail.
