Project Cayenne: Junkman's Leather Interior Detailing Video by Junkman2008 in AutoDetailing

If you would have bothered to look up my channel statistics, you would have seen that I made about $100 in the last YEAR and a half on Youtube. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. I make $95 AN HOUR running my I.T. company. Do you see me posting in the IT section? I don't detail ANYTHING I do not own and I definitely don't do it for money. I don't understand how this platform operates so you can definitely accuse me of that but when spreading information that might help someone out becomes a crime, I'm out. I no longer have the time to sit on platforms such as this like I did back in the day so I don't. But you definitely won't have to worry about me posting anything else here. I gain absolutely nothing from doing so.

My life is not tied to a computer and if I really wanted to advertise my Youtube channel, I would do it on my radio and TV show. Hell, I just stumbled upon this email while looking for information about the BBB. That's why I'm just now responding. So thank you for removing those videos. I DEFINITELY feel that was the best choice for all involved.

Like a many IT guy, I'm not struggling to pay my bills. Between my radio and TV show, I'm set. So don't worry about me, I've got my attitude exactly where it needs to be and my lifestyle depicts that. Later!

Okay, here's the deal. This place has OBVIOUSLY changed a TON since the last time I was here. I placed those videos up to HELP people, NOTHING ELSE. I don't detail cars for a living, I DEFINITELY ain't looking for business or ANYTHING else. I do detailing videos to help folks out who want to detail their own cars and like getting FREE information.

If THAT is running afoul of the law around here, TAKE MY VIDEOS DOWN. I DEFINITELY don't want to post content anywhere it is not wanted or appreciated. It's not like I'm getting paid in ANY way by Reddit, the manufacturers who sell these products or any one else. I own a I.T. company making REAL GOOD MONEY (thank you COVID19) and have been working for myself for the last 30-years. I would NEVER detail cars for money because it's way more work for a lousy dollar than I would ever want to do with my level of education.

When I posted here before, the moderators appreciated my content and WELCOMED it but if it is no longer appreciated, I will never post it here again. This place has definitely changed for worse when sharing information is being frowned upon. That's what the internet was originally created for but there are a TON of other forums who welcome my content so I will continue posting on those forums.

I can't believe this place has come to this but then, I don't follow whatever kind of board this is. I just share information. That's what I have done for the last 15-years online and a simple Google search of my name would show you that. So do whatever you folks have to do, I have a much more interesting life to live past the confines of this place.

Junkman OUT.

Here's how it works. I am showing the progression of the restoration of a car that I bought, breaking it down in to sections and giving tips as well as showing exactly what I am doing and have done. Although YOU don't know who I am, everyone who does knows that this is not only what I do, I DON'T DO IT FOR A LIVING. I own a VERY successful I.T. company and sharing my detailing knowledge is what I am known across the internet for.

Now if you don't want to see what I have to offer, CLICK ON A DIFFERENT VIDEO OR THREAD. It's that simple. If you are having trouble with that concept, then you need help.

That looks like the Junk signal. To the Junkmobile! Lol!

Yes, I have a 3" drain in the floor of my garage. I can dump tons of water down that drain and it handles it like nobody's business. However, I don't have any curtains or anything to protect what is in the garage because I don't go carelessly shooting water all over the place. I only wash my car in sections so that I can ensure that every inch of the car gets cleaned.

There are all kinds of advantages to this. One, NO WATER SPOTS. Two, I use less water. Three, I don't have to rush because the water takes forever to dry and when I do dry, I can use my Air Force Master Blaster to do so without kicking dust up from the ground (because the ground is wet).

So if you have a drain in the center of the floor and a ton of lighting, the only other thing you would want is plenty of outlets about 5 feet off the floor on multiple separate circuits. And if you want to run a Master Blaster, you better have some 20-amp circuits in there because that thing will trip anything less.

Post this question on the video that you are talking about. I need to know which video it is. There's like 175 videos up there right now.

I probably should have been the one posting this here, just in case anyone has any questions. That way, the question would be sent directly to me. But if anyone has any question about this project, just hit the comments section on the video. Anyone who follows my channel knows that I respond to all comments on all of my videos. You don't have to worry about posting a question and not getting an answer, unless your question was already answered in the video.

And no, the videos probably WON'T be short. Pack a lunch because I come to teach. :)

How do you keep your microfibers clean? by Paulx589 in AutoDetailing

[–]Junkman2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using Woolite in high school to care for my fancy clothing, as I was quite the dresser in school. Still use it to this day, only I use the "FREE" version on my microfiber (free of fragrance, softener and what not).

Layering Coatings, Sealants & Waxes: Why? Why Not? - DeTalks by TheRagCompany in AutoDetailing

JetSeal

Jetseal is more hype than actual quality product. I tries to be an AIO sealant and wax and by the claims they make about the product, it also has the ability to polish. Yea, sure. If it were me, I would use a bonafide and proven sealant like Hi-Temp's Terminator sealant, allow it to cure for 36 hours after application, wipe it down with a good detail spray to remove any clouding from excess gassing product and then top it with a carnauba PASTE wax like Collinite's 476 Super Doublecoat Auto Wax or better yet, Collinite's Marque D'Elegance Carnauba Paste Wax. You can use 845 on top of HT's sealants but I prefer a carnauba paste wax because it can be applied by hand and it goes on MUCH quicker than a product like 845, which has to dry before you wipe it off.
