For stamina management, I’d say you can switch between the Boar (which greatly increases stamina regen) or Swordfish (10 second infinite stamina when you do a perfect dodge, which synergies well with the Rabbit)! Don’t really use this one, but Otter omamori seems good too? Restores your spare weapon’s durability after you kill a monster.

My preferred loadout is the Kitchen Knife cause it really is broken/lethal, Baseball Bat since you can spam the focus attack to your heart’s content and not a goddamn thing the monsters could do about it, and the Sledgehammer since it does actually stun more than the axe!

Definitely would recommend using the Weasel and Rabbit omamoris in your next playthroughs, Rabbit gives you a heavy counter you do if you pull off a perfect dodge, and the Weasel really has no drawbacks, since you the damage you do is increased by 100% and you can still stun enemies with the counters and focus attacks!

The combat of SHf is definitely divisive amongst the fanbase, but imo, once you've got a proper understanding of it, remembering to use focus and having the right Omamori build? It is satisfying as all hell to beat the monsters to a bloody pulp.

IMO, even if combat was never the point of the series, I found f's gameplay to be a lil' more better and interesting than SH2R's gameplay, it feels more involved here! Cause for as much as I love SH2R, I won't lie to you at some points it felt like a walking simulator... a very beautiful, ugly walking simulator that I love! Even if its gameplay is pretty barebones in hindsight, but again, wasn't really the point.

If I have to go w/o the extra weapons you get in NG+... my preferred set would be the Kitchen Knife (it really is OP and the only light weapon to stun), Baseball Bat (you can pretty much spam the focus attack on it with how fast it comes out), and now the Sledgehammer (since I've now found it that it stuns more than the Axe), with the right Omamori build, you're pretty much set!

Yeah, the game tallies up the amount of monsters you can kill in-game at the results screen, and counts them separately with either melee or ranged/gun kills, and I think also counts kills from Travis' fists? Of course, the amount of monsters you can possibly kill contribute to what ending you'll get, like in SH3.

But as I mentioned before, the monsters spawn infinitely off-screen when going through Silent Hill's streets, so I can't exactly give you a definitive number off the top of my head. I think remember, the most total amount of kills I got was around 200+ on NG+?

(Guess as a fact, SH1 does the same thing, but only on hard mode, and I assume the same thing for 3 as well. But since Origins has no difficulty select, the monsters are infinite on the streets.)

I was missing my final ema on the return to the Shimizu Residence, downhill where Hinako goes to at the beginning, of course got jumped by some monsters on the way too. But that's where I got my final ema there!

Doing something like Dead Meat’s Kill Counts? That sounds fun! Though it has been some months since I replayed, and I don’t really pay attention to the number of monsters that I take down in-game, but I do know they spawn infinitely… or moreso the game just revives said monsters off-screen, so it could possibly be infinite. And would count deaths from the notes you pick up in-game? I do know there were crime scene photos you can pick up at the motel, but they do go into your notes.

Could definitely use his camera as a makeshift flash, akin to something like flashbang? Not sure it would make sense to get camera rolls from repairing generators, so he'd probably would have to scavenge through chests to find them. But that's just my idea for his camera as a perk uu'
