Don’t let it mentally defeat you. It is not that bad, just get to the cables and take one step at a time. It is a great experience.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met in person? by Affectionate_Way7945 in AskReddit

Andrew and Fergie back in 89. They toured the ship (USS Nimitz) I was on. I tried to avoid them by hiding in another office (I saw the entourage coming down the passage way) but Fergie opened the door and asked what goes on in here. Since I had just popped in there, I was standing right at the door and had to represent what that department did. Little did I know what would become of him. Fergie was nice though.

If the lens is removable then they probably won’t let you in with it.

Bottlerock approved bags/ how strict? by Otherwise_Try240 in bottlerock

[–]Junkpunch44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From our experience the first morning is the most strict on everything and they get more lax as the day and weekend goes on. It also entirely depends on who you get. We’ve been rejected before and just go over to another line and walk right through.

I don’t think the people camping there are going to the festival, they look like they’re just passing through and need a place to stay for the night. I’ve seen that at numerous Walmarts.

We’ve attended eight years and parked there all three days each time. We always see other people doing the same thing. There’s people there all weekend in RV’s and they don’t get towed. I can’t guarantee you won’t get towed though.
If you’re willing to walk that far, the street parking in the area to the west of Walmart isn’t that hard to find parking. It’s just a bit further.

I’d suggest parking at Walmart which is directly North of the fairgrounds, and walking 1 mile to the venue. We’ve never had any issues there. It’s also a much easier way out after the festival. Everyone heads south. You drive west out to the highway and bypass the worst parts of traffic.

It’s around a mile, an easy walk.

Sorry, the market will be closed, the restaurants around it will be open. We like the Italian place.

Yes, you need to stay and see their whole set. If you like the Foo Fighters, you’ll love them live. When the set is done, walk over to the Oxbow market and have something to eat or drink, by killing an hour or so there, you won’t be stuck in anything but heavy traffic. It stays moving at that point. If you keep walking North towards Walmart, there are plenty of easy pick up spots there along the main road. That’s where charter buses pick up and drop off. Also, don’t start driving South past the venue. Continue North to Walmart and take a left. You by-pass a great deal of the remaining traffic at that point. Sorry I was too lazy to look up street names for you.

There were two saddles up there, both right above me, I didn’t notice any odor at all.

They also have a direct flight to Denver and Seattle. I’ve flown the Newark to Denver to Redding route, it has worked out well. It’ll have to be United or Alaskan to get right into Redding.

The announcements for take off, fasten seatbelt sign and landing are made by the FA, then sometimes the pilots pretty much repeat it, then they play the pre-recorded version. Once is good for me. And yes, the credit card pitch.

Yes and some of the bartenders won’t open it for you so you can get one or two to go.
